Never had pizza in America without cheese on it. Cheese is extra. They don't use mozzarella. Every topping including cheese is... extra. The pizza had a very weird taste to it. In my opinion this isn't pizza. They don't sell it by the pie just by the piece.So if you supposedly buy a whole pizza it's just several pieces thrown into a box. Unsatisfactory in my opinion!!! This was always my go to beach pizza. Today I ordered a whole box for my family and this is just a little of what we got. It was... so thin and flimsy we couldnt even pick it up without it folding in half ???? even taking it home and re cooking it to makethe crust actually crispy enough to eat wasn't enough to make it good. After just having moved to the area we decided to have a battle of the beach pizza. We went to Tripoli?s and Cristy?s and for us... Cristy?s wins hands down. We liked the cheese, sauce and crust better at Cristy?s. We do recommend extra cheese and using thespices at the window to doctor it up! Super thin crispy crust made specific to your order. Cristy's is unique in that I haven't had any other pizza like this any... place else. It's a great addition to your trip to the coast. Take out only, some outdoor benches. Read more
The pizza was a different style than I am used to. Frankly, I was not expecting it to be any good. However, it was better than... expected. The crust was crispy but not hard. The sauce was sweeter than I like but was seasoned well. The slice of provoloneon the top but was different but not bad. Overall, definitely try it and see for yourself. Read more
Cristy?s has been a staple of this area for decades. It?s nothing fancy, but I love this place. If you?re not aware, ?beach... pizza? is different than what you?ll find at most pizza places. This is thin, square and there?s not a lot of cheese. If youorder extra cheese, you get a slice of provolone on top. It sounds weird, but it?s really good.
