Terrible experience. I have been here many times and I always tell people how great it was. This time is was different. First... off, the bartender was excellent, very personable and attentive. The entree was terrible. My friend and I had the special,Porterhouse and shrimp served with mashed potatoes and asparagus for $70. We both pictured a nice size Porterhouse being servedlike you would get at a steak house for that price. Not even close. It was thin like you would get at a diner for a steak andeggs breakfast. Thin, thin, thin. We both ordered medium rare, an impossible task with a steak that thin. It came out welldone. Not a good steak. The other things were good. I have no idea how they could serve 2 of those steaks that thin for thatprice. Maybe it was one steak that they cut in half? I still think it would have been thin. The person next to me ordered theVenison special (Hagan's was out of their short rib, which this couple raved about). The guy who ordered it said it washorrible. The couple on the other side sent their risotto back, they hated it. I will still go back to this restaurant becauseof the vibe and the food experiences that I have had previously, but was thoroughly disappointed in this visit. It was a Sundaynight, head chef wasn't there, so I will choose my night's choices better. Read more

Nice dinner. We chose to just get a bunch of appetizers as we thought we'd like those look really good. We lived them all, if we... had to give a pass on one it would have been the lamb skewers. Empanadas were delicious. Read more

Happy Heatwave Seacoast Eaters!!! At least it's not a dry heat, right? ???? Saturday's date night was another one of my... choices. This too, was a restaurant we had never been to before, but I have been keeping an eye on for a while. We jumped in thecar and headed south to Hampton to Hagan's Grill at 6 High St. We were seated at a high-top in the front window and beganlooking over the menu. My wife ordered a French Kiss Martini(Pic 1). The drink is made with Grey Goose Vodka, Chambord andpineapple juice. I asked Jenn C, our waitress, to have the bartender make me a refreshing drink(Pic 2). She came back with acreation made of Grey Goose Vodka, grapefruit juice, simple syrup and soda water. It was just what I had hoped for, refreshing! For an appetizer, we ordered a bowl of the Soup Special to share(Pic 3). This was a golden watermelon, cucumber andmint gazpacho. You could taste every ingredient. The flavor combination was amazing and the soup light and very refreshing. Weboth absolutely loved it. For dinner, my wife ordered the Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken(Pic 4). The romaine was crispy, thegarlic croutons were the right consistency and the dressing was light and flavorful. The chicken was moist and tender afterbeing cooked perfectly, making her meal a fabulous choice for a very warm evening. For my dinner, I made up for the both of us.I ordered the Surf & Turf(Pic 5). The 8 oz filet mignon I had cooked medium rare. The spices used gave the meat a bold flavorand it was salted just right. The Lobster tail(or lobstah tail) was served with a side of warm drawn butter( or buttah if youprefer). Tell me, does it get any better than that??? My meal also included whipped potato and asparagus, which by the way, wasperfect. You know how it can be a little stringy, yeah, this wasn't. I had Jenn bring me a glass of wine that would pair wellwith my meal. She brought me a beautiful red blend that was terrific(Pic 6). For dessert, we decided on the Ricotta Read more

So atmosphere is nice and staff was great over the phone and in person & was accurate in the 15 minute to ready estimate for... take out - the reason for the poor review is I ordered a burger well done w/ significant emphasis I did not want any Mayo/sauce… opened the takeout container as I was driving away to find burger smothered on both sides with sauce and the kicker beingrare in middle … 1 star is probably a bit harsh but the request was not unreasonable and more of a suggestion to those whoorder to be aware … working in a restaurant is not easy but at same time, my dog scored a great meal tonight Changed reviewto 3 stars since Owner was willing to reach out and offer amends - I greatly appreciate just the offer — it was a tough nightin that we had some hungry kids in the car after the beach and it was just one of those”oh man” moments! All is good Read more

My husband and I found this place by searching for places to eat while on vacation, and I am so thrilled we did. This was some... of the best food we’ve had in quite some time. The goat cheese fritter salad is SUCH an experience. The decor is simple yetreally tasteful. The atmosphere is chill and welcoming and our waiter was really funny and very kind. The experience was overall so wonderful and if we visit NH again we’ll be sure to be back!!! Read more

There is a reason why Hagan's is consistently packed with people. The food may just be the best in the Hampton Beach area.... Everything from the app to the desert were phenomenal. Prosciutto Wrapped Cod, Shrimp Linguine and Crispy Skin Salmon. Allfresh and perfectly cooked. Then a brownie sundae to end it all. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly andrecommended a bourbon when the one I wanted was 86'd. Did I use that right? 86'd? I don't work in the industry, I just hang outin them. Gimme a break Read more

Hampton's hidden treasure. This place is absolutely one of the best uptown restaurants you will find on the NH Seacoast. ... Located in Hampton center this jewel of an establishment is one not to skip. Arrived on a snowy Friday evening and was seatedimmediately. Started with the seafood chowder that was out of this world, then had sirloin steak with shrimp, mashed potato andbutternut squash. A total 10!! Dessert was a chocolate bread pudding that again, was to die for. Atmosphere is just aboutperfect with lighting that doesn't make you feel as if your on Broadway. Jake our server was attentive and offered perfectservice, a definite asset to this business. My only regret was never trying this place sooner. Enjoy!!!! :) Read more
