The Lau Lau was good. That?s pork and seaweed wrapped in banana leaf. I liked this much better than regular Kalua pork and... cabbage. This has much more flavor. I guess $14 is within reason. It came with mac salad which had too much mayonnaise. It alsocame with a yummy taro desert. Also had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. Not very much pork but it tasted good. Comes on ahamburger type bun. Very bready. It was small, but it was only 8 bucks. But the disappointment was the mango tango smoothie. Itwas mostly ice and couldn?t taste much of any of these juices: banana, mango, strawberry, guava, or taro. Read more
We had #2 with rice and #4 with rice and poi, local BBQ pulled pork, Juice cucumber and watermelon, everything yummy!
We tried the Mango tango smoothie. Taste was fine. It was heavy and not super sweet. The taro cake was a different experience... for me. Its sticky and heavy as well. Read more
I love taro! They had a couple cool taro dishes available like a taro burger. However, I wanted to try some Kauai pork and got... the sandwich, #6. We had 5 people order various items and there was a rush that came after us so I understand the confusion, butthey got my order wrong. Fortunately they fixed it right away and the food waa AMAZING, I really love that sandwich! It was aperfect lunch right before we went kayaking. :) I packed half the sandwich for later and then forgot to take it after kayakingso that part is really sad. All that means is I'll have to come back to eat another sandwich from here again! Read more
Great Taro hummus and Taro chips. They also have a lot of traditional food that looks very good. A lot of locals eat here.
Had the kalua pig tacos with lomi lomi salad. Two great local specialties in one bite. mac salad was fabulous and the taro... hummus on my wife's wrap rocked! This is a must visit. Not open long but a great place to catch a great local food meal!!! Read more
The pork special was delicious, humongous portion, and a great price. Came back and got the shoyu chicken special and while I... still wish I could get more of that brown gravy they used on the pork, was delicious as well. If you are nearby, this place isa must. Read more
