Tahiti Nui is at the beginning of the village of shops in Hanapepe. The website indicated that they were closed, however much... to our surprise, they were open and serving lunch. We chose outside seating at one of their high tables. The servers were setfriendly and attentive. We received our drink orders and the food came soon after. Our order of the Zesty Macadamia CoveredAhí was fresh and delicious. The fish was served over local fresh mashed sweet potato. The restaurant is close to the ChingYoung Shopping Village and is a convenient stop for an exquisite meal, before or after shopping. It's one of the best places togo on the north side of the island! You might say we enjoyed our dinner from the look of our plates ???? ???? ! Wonderful dinner at very reasonable prices. We... will be back next time we are in Kauai. Every bite was great! We ordered the Macadamia Crusted Chicken and the Mushroom Burger. The food was good, not the best, but the service was the worst... we've experienced on the island. It took 45min to get our food, but they only brought out one of our entrees. So by the time theother entree arrived, it started getting cold. After all our food arrived, we couldn't get our waitress's attention for water.After a while we gave up and went to the bar to get water ourselves. The waitress never came back to our table from the time weordered until we were done eating. We asked for a little more water to wash down our food at the end, but she left and didn'teven bring back more water! I had to get up to get her attention again. Even trying to pay the bill was a hassle. We finallywalked up to our waitress to ask if we can pay and she gave us a sarcastic attitude. I have no idea why the reviews are so highfor this place. The mushroom veggie burger was good and the tuna carpaccio was also good. Friendly service. Overall good lunch. Nothing amazing... but pretty good meal for two people. Not cheap but comparable to most other places around this area. Read more
