Gil's is a top notch restaurant, there isn't anything more you could ask of this place. If you'd like a family diner experience... with the best fried chicken and walleye in the area step in. If you have a little noisier crowd or want cocktails before dinneror after the game check out the warehouse ( same owners, same awesome food and wait staff) rarely a wait time for a table andnever a disappointing meal! Gil started this place the year I was born, 1962. Earliest childhood memories were going to Gil's on Wednesday night. Back in... the day before they expanded, we sometimes waited over an hour for a table, and was more than happy to do so. Gil's has been afamily tradition ally life. Never had a bad meal ever. The only problem is that if you order onion rings and you like them doneright, you have to ask the waitress to have them cook them a little longer. Found out they use a timer to cook them. A placethat has never served me a bad piece of chicken will serve me undercooked onion rings, but when they cook them to my liking,they're awesome. If you never been to Gil's, go, especially on Wednesday night for chicken. Read more

It took us over 45 minutes to get our meal. Others had gotten their food, had eaten and left before we got ours. We had fried... chicken dinners as well as the other people too. When we did get our food, it was delicious! The waitress was wonderful and keptchecking on our food...she was very apologetic for the long delay. They gave us each a free dessert to take home because of thedelay in getting our order. We will definitely be returning for another delicious meal!! Read more
The chicken is good, but kinda greasy. The side of spaghetti was bland. The salad and the fritters were very tasty. Our young... waitress was fantastic, attentive but not overbearing. And service was fast. We'll probably come back. Read more
