We recently had our 45th High School Class Reunion at Bay City. Our planning committee could not have asked for a more wonderful... evening. The banquet room is beautifully decorated and the staff took excellent care of all our needs. We enjoyed a deliciousbuffet dinner and dessert was extra special. We visit at least once a quarter. Their adult beverage options are awesome. Highly recommend the banana split concoction. We... love the crab imperial and fried chicken. This past weekend I opted to try the baby back ribs. They were outstanding. The saucewas perfect and they were super meaty. Salads were fresh, baked potato was good, crab pretzel out of this world and love theirversion of the cheddar bay biscuit. We always go home with two days worth of leftovers. Wanted to like this place and we would if we were into bars ( read the end). We Went out for my fiance and my birthday. I'll... start with the good. We liked the wait staff who were good/fun with our kids. The drinks I had were great which were the bloodyMary and margarita. The crab dip we also enjoyed. Now for the bad. The rolls/biscuits meh. The cream of crab had a lot of flourwhich is all we tasted and sent back. The meals came out late and upon arrival I was told the kitchen doesn't know what happenedwith your stuffed flounder but it appears to have shrunk and they are making another (without me saying anything). In short thismeans way over done and I don't know why it was even sent in the first place. Second round the fish was cooked good but blandand small they served fish over top of the crab stuffing which had a funny taste... My fiance ordered shrimp scampi half werebullets her crab cake was okay. The bill came and was about on par for this type of restaurant and would be okay if the food wasas good as another restaurant of this type. If I went for the bar this would be good they have lots of alcohol and I don't meanthat lightly. Half their menu is mixed drinks and beers plus a lot of alcohol specials. Ordered and was massively disappointed. Crab stuffed mushrooms... just awful. 4 no bigger than a quarter mushy mushroom caps.... Could not tell if the crab was frozen or canned. Lacked texture and had too much moisture to hold its own. The mushroomsthemselves were just mushy. Definitely not worth the $12. Very sad Soft shell was way way over cooked...even the mustard wasHARD. The best part... it was delivered and sat on another table before it was brought to ours. Grant you this is a nice area ofYork/Adams County but still... major serv safe violation. My plate was the crab melt... again... mushy but unlike the crunchyover cooked soft shell, this was room temperature on the inside. The pretzel roll was the star. Service was very slow. Therewasn't much business this evening, but we walked in 45 minutes before closing. It took 35 minutes for the appetizer to get tothe table. Floors were dirty. We were here for a banquet. Maybe if we came for a family experience, things would be different. The prices were insanely high... for what we were served. The staff did not communicate well with the guests about forming lines at the buffet or that desertswere being served. They did not serve coffee??? The food was good but the service was below average. The bar area andatmosphere was nice. I may need to go again with family only to make a final decision. Read more
Bay City Restaurant is awesome!! The food is very delicious and they have a lot of unique options, served with bread and butter.... The service was wonderful, and our server/the hostess were so nice. I had never been here before but will definitely want to goagain!! I got the Caribbean salad with shrimp, toasted coconut, cashews, mandarin oranges, and a mango dressing! My boyfriendgot the crab cake sandwich and he said it was very good. Read more
Food was delicious, but overpriced for the portion size. (My plate was almost $30 and the main course was about the size of my... fist. It was so good though, and I could have eaten twice that amount.) The fish was cooked to perfection. ???? We came when itwas very busy and it took an hour and 30 minutes from sitting down to receive our plates. We were there for almost a total of 3hours! Service was attentive but slow, understandably. The outdoor dining was very pleasant. The kitchen was wonderful and thechef was willing to work with a food intolerance (we were told they could fry fish with just the breading and egg wash and skipthe dairy). The waitress checked with the kitchen to see if any of the dishes we were interested in contained dairy. Wonderfulservice. Best sangria!! Read more
Overall 3 is our rating. I've heard good and not so good, tonight will probably be our one and only. The fried food had hardly... any flavor. Cream of crab wasn't bad. I have to say, where are the smiles and friendliness of the staff. It's not like theywere busy at 4pm.... Read more
