Fantastic food and service? plus a free dessert for my birthday! ??
We have ate here in the past (3+ years), but our latest trip was definitely not as enjoyable. Food was nothing exciting.... Calamari was rubbery and breading was just ok. Tortellini was good, but not amazing for almost $30. Be careful with theadd-on's. We thought that a side add-on of lobster mac n cheese was $12, but it is actually the regular mac n cheese price$11.85 PLUS the "add" $12 for upgrade...so $24 for a tiny ramekin serving with a few bits of lobster! After arguing with theserver, the manager took it off the bill, which was the right thing to do. We really appreciated that. My question is why notjust advertise a side of lobster mac n cheese for $24 instead of doing the "add" marketing trick? Service was slow, as ourserver kept hanging out at the hostess desk. We had to ask a different server for some things because ours was nowhere to befound. They definitely have plenty of room for improvement. Read more
I went there for lunch this afternoon. I asked the waitress if the brisket was fatty. She said maybe a little but people do... not complain. I had a tremendous amount of fat. The sandwich was awful. The best parts of my meal were the coleslaw which wasgood, the fries also good, and the outdoor seating. The service was poor. The waitress did not smile. She complied with ourrequests but was robotic. For having such a nice atmosphere it was disappointing to have less than mediocre service and food. Read more
Enjoyed Vernales for a birthday dinner. Just minutes outside of Petoskey in Harbor Springs, this was a delicious choice. I... tried the New York Strip, excellent. She had the Sea Bass, excellent. Grady took great care of us. Definitely recommend avisit when you're in the area. Read more
Outstanding restaurant in the Petoskey area. Try the Brussels Sprouts for an appetizer. My wife had the perch and I had a spicy... seafood pasta dish. Both were excellent. They also have very good steaks. This place is a little pricey, but worth the cost.Service was excellent. Read more

Good food. A little bit pricey for my taste, but there a lots of options. Ribeye steak was a bit plain and not as good as I had... anticipated, but I always compare to Douglas Lake Bar who I believe has the best ribeye in the area. The Wings and ribs aregreat! I ordered the wings and they gave me a few extra than what I ordered, I'm assuming cause one or two were small. But anice thing to do as most places wouldn't do that. Their Lobster was good and their atmosphere is perfect whether you want a nicequiet date night or a Saturday with the boys! They do have a great wait staff as well! Tennessee did a great job! Everything about our anniversary dining experience here was stellar. The shrimp penne Alfredo was hot and done to perfection,... the salad fresh and varied, the bread hot and delicious. Our waitress was very professional and attentive. A perfect meal! Read more
