It used to be a 5 star review. The prices listed are not up to date; the prices have went up. It still has the charming... atmosphere but not like it did before. The two baristas we're nice, but we're acting like they didn't even want me to walkthrough the door. Finally, the food wasn't as good as it was before. This is the best café in Harlan County! The staff was terrific and did everything they could to help my group of 17. There... outside of this coffee shop is painted a lovely blue, inviting locals and visitors into their ample open space. They havecouches, tables, chairs, and plenty of books and games to check out. I ordered the hummus wrap and salted caramel latte with oatmilk, both suitable items for vegans. Need a quick up drink to kickstart your day or a relaxing drink after a long day? This cozy café is located in downtown Harlan... and is easily accessible from Main Street. This was my first time visiting this place, and it was well worth it. It's amid-priced coffee shop, but the portion sizes, service, and flavor are well worth it. I tried the Chicken Pesto Sandwich, and itwas without a doubt the best I've ever eaten. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the cheese melted in my mouth was exquisite.Came with a large party of 17 people, and the staff gladly received us and was always friendly. If you want to have a hot cup ofespresso or grab a delicious lunch, this is the place to go in Harlan. Definitely recommended it. Read more

I've left a review for this place before, but it vanished mysteriously. So, here's another one! I cannot recommend this place... enough! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming with a kind staff and a gorgeous industrial feel. The coffee is absolutelydelicious and so is the food! I often come here for lunch and so far my favorite is "The Coal Miner" drink blended like afrappé and their chicken, bacon, ranch wrap. I would stop by more often if weekend hours were available, but when I can stop byI definitely do! Even if you're not a coffee fan, they have something for you! They have amazing baked goods, daily made soups,hot dogs, and have recently added gelato. I'm unsure if it's homemade and I have yet to try it, but it looks devine. They alsohave decaf and sugar free options as well as traditional drink options like soda and beer. I mentioned this in my last review,but I'll reiterate just how vital a place like this is to our little community. The town is in desperate need of a facelift andthis little shop should be an example of how to do so. A local small business that's "with the times" but doesn't shy away fromour history is exactly what we need and more of them. It gives me a lot of optimism for our hidden little town.
