My husband and I had an excellent experience at Butcher and Barkeep! The restaurant is cozy but modern at the same time. A lot... of their food comes from local farmers and it is very fresh. I had the shrimp with grits (I NEVER eat grits) and it wasawesome. We also had the fried green tomatoes. The waitress was super friendly. We will be back for sure!!! Read more
We finally were able to check this place out. Heard many of great things. Interesting menu with a wide variety of alcoholic... beverages and house-made drinks. The signature shrimp and grits was a bit salty for my liking but was still tasty. The sexyfries were definitely sexy. The drinks specials we ordered didn't seem that stuff, but were pretty yummy. On par with most otherplaces cost-wise. Give them a chance if you're up that way or want to take a drive. I will update my review after the nextvisit. Read more
Seven friends having lunchand each had something different. The food was amazing. The best mussels I've ever had. We had 2... orders of sexy fries and could have had even more. They were awesome. Lots of beers and ales on tape and in bottles. Especiallyliked the "morning stout". The waitstaff was attentive and amazing and able to discuss the finer points of the on tape beersas well as the food. We did not feel nor were we rushed. Great new find for us. Plan to return soon!
