I have visited this Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen many times and have been disappointed to give any more than 2 stars. This place on... a packed night has the worst service taking over 30 minutes for seating, service, and just to receive bad tasting food. Onmultiple occasions family members and I will hope for a better experience than the last but get either the same thing or worse.I will almost always order the Grilled salmon the same way every time. But, there have been times where it's over cooked, burnt,or very over-seasoned. I cook all kinds of meats, chicken, and fish all the time and I can say it's not that hard to cooksalmon. It should be a very quick and easy fish to grill. I can accept an undercooked meal and have it cooked a little more, butit's annoying having to wait for a new dish to be made and wait while everyone else is eating without you. As for their meats,we've had very undercooked or raw steaks while asking for med-rare. There are also times where will get very slow service andget overcooked and burnt steaks and ask for new dishes waiting around 40 minutes for them to get it right. Just yesterday I wentand asked for the same thing I always get and got an overcooked salmon, undercooked steak, had our dessert cookie with ice-creambe remade because it was apparently burnt. Luckily the manager caught it before we did but came to inform us anyways since itwas already taking over 25 minutes to receive it. Even asking for refills or drinks when being seated has taken up to 30 minutesor more on both packed and more open calm days. I live closer to this Cheddar's but sometimes I find myself choosing theBrownsville location more since we get better service there. Even with todays gas prices and running on a V8 really goes to showthe lengths I make to get good service, and better tasting food. Read more

If I could I would give zero stars, the food was horrible, cold, and bland and the chicken strips were more like nuggets. My... salad had a fly in it and the waitress just says, "oh we have gnats" no apologies just says I'll bring you another and make surethere's no gnats this time wasn't a gnat it was a fly, I refused. She mentioned it's slow and I've had alot of caffeine and yetisn't very attentive, we got one refill the entire time we were there and she went to get us straws but never returned, also sheforgot to bring my side I practically ate all my food before she came around again and just says oh you didn't get it, well noaren't you the waitress that brought out the food but never made sure we didn't need anything else? At the end we were alreadypaying she did come back to say to do the survey because they have a contest going on and she needed good reviews. Never goingback to Harlingen cheddars worse experience. Good experience. Food and drinks were good as always. Ate at the bar to avoid waiting for a table. Love the pain killer! Ordered... to go as well, and that came out pretty quick. Be there again soon. Read more
Everything was very delicious. The steak was a little over seasoned in my opinion. It was a little strong and over powered the... meat flavor. The meat was tender and was cooked to medium rare with that pink center. Very good. I highly recommend trying theSpinach dip, it is creamy and tasty! The atmosphere was very nice as well! Read more
Got here before the dinner rush, service was great up until then. Our server was great but probably new she was still was very... helpful through our visit although her knowledge of the menu was limited. The wait was a bit longer but not too bad. Food wasgreat and atmosphere was good. Read more
