A watermelon trash can & i enjoyed 10pcs of Chipotle bbq wings. I was here for two different nights. Saturday was wild and... poppin and Sunday night was more chill. In town for PIAA Convention -- attempted to grab a quick lunch. Waiting time exceeded 40 mins. (for salad, soup, and a basic... turkey wrap -- not hard). Arooga's was NOT busy, so wait time absolutely should not have been what it was. We also ordered anappetizer, and it was luke warm. Staff sadly absolutely do stand around and ignore customers, chat with the 'regulars,' and areon phones a lot. Understandably so, it is difficult to find quality staff in the world we live, but if so many reviews for yourrestaurant reflect the SAME EXACT THINGS, why isn't the owner doing something about it? Unfortunately for me, I did NOT takethe time to read the reviews prior to going but as I had a really long wait for my soup and salad, I then did read them -- allpoor reviews reflect accuracy. And for the price of simple things as I ordered, you expect more as a paying customer. Arooga'sis more of a bar and party place, definitely not a restaurant -- go to drink and listen to music on Friday night.. Not to eat.And it is definitely not a kid-friendly atmosphere handicap accessible, so don't take young children or individuals whom cannotwalk up step to enter the building. Downtown Harrisburg!! Nice!! Decent prices, no wheelchair access tho. Big. Lots of seating plus large bar. Music is good... but no juke. Service very good. You can run a tab at bar. Monitors all over...sports, news. A+ (the white guy is me!!) Read more

I walked up to the door, I was greeted by the bouncer. He recommended the ribs and I was not disappointed. They were the best... ribs I have ever had along side the mango habanero wings. Both were amazing. The employees were amazing as well. Very friendly.I loved my experience here. I came here for food for me and my wife who is in the hospital after having a baby. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. We walked in and we're greeted right away and seated. Waking to the... table we saw amazing huge pretzels being delivered to the tables and could not wait to order one. The server greeted us rightaway and asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered two drinks and the huge ????. The drinks were deliver right away and weredelicious but we were taking our time drinking them because we wanted to enjoy with the pretzel. After about 45 minutes theserver came and apologized for how long it was taking. I advised that we did not want out pretzel and dinner served at thesame time. We wereI not in a hurry so the time was not a big deal. was told that would not happen. She was right. We orderedclam chowder and a rib and wing combo. The chowder and the ribs were delivered to the table but not the wings or the pretzel.. At this point I did not want the pretzel anymore. I told the waitress that we hadn't got out wings yet. The ribs and thechowder were delicious. The wings were very small and cold. I asked to speak to a manager. I didn't get a manager but a teamlead. I told them how disappointed I was. She apologized and said they would remove the pretzel off the bill. Thanks forremoving the pretzel that I never received. No discount or anything. I placed an order on DoorDash for the Pulled Pork N Bacon Mac and Cheese. Do yourself a favor and do not spend the money on... this. 95% of the noodles don't have cheese on it....its mac and cheese. Poorly run place here. Came for a show at riverfront park and stopped for a beer or two and a bite to eat. Place was extremely... crowded and only one bartender. Poor guy did the best he could but was totally overwhelmed. Got two draft beers and they werewarm. Placed an order for two appetizers and waited over an hour. Both items came out cold. I'm sure they were understaffed butthat's when management needs to step in and help out. Coming back Saturday for another show at the Park. Definitely won't stophere again???????? Read more
