If you're in town and want a wonderful filling meal you NEED to come here! The 18oz ribeye was cooked perfectly and amazingly... tender. But the real star was the mashed potatoes, one of the best I've ever had. The seafood bake was outstanding as well butagain the jalapeno mashed potatoes stole the show! The waitress and owner were both incredibly friendly, Harrisburg is lucky tohave a restaurant as excellent as Dodge city!! Read more
I really don?t get why people review a place and haven?t even eaten at the restaurant. Your wasting my time reading something... that doesn?t help me decide if Iam going to try the place. We were in the area to go to Hershey and decided to try thisplace. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Kid friendly with great accommodating staff. Everything is homemade! Homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Homemade chips with cheese sauce and sour cream. My steak was cooker perfectly. I gotthe 8oz filet mignon and it melted in your mouth. My father in law got the prime rib sandwich with steak fries which were 100%made fresh in house and perfectly fried! Got the strawberry short cake to go and I just ate it before I wrote this review. Itwas the icing on the cake and I had to write a review. Especially after I read a few negative ones and saw they didn?t even eatat the place. Waited 45 minutes blah blah blah didn?t eat the food. Put a picture or a receipt you bought something or don?twrite a review. You really want to stop someone from enjoying a place for no reason. Because some people just look at thestars. Rant over lol. This is one restaurant that I have only been to once since I've moved to Harrisburg. So we decided to try this one after reading... the reviews. This is a family owned restaurant since 1980 and everything is made from scratch. One of the first things I feltwhen we received the menu was how expensive this restaurant is. They are known for their steaks and prime rib,which if I coulddo over my meal...this would have been my choice. I struggled with giving this a 4 star review because the Chicken Chesapeake Iordered was the most salty piece of dried chicken I have ever tasted.Even the lump crab meat that topped the chicken was toosalty and the mornay sauce was too hot for my taste. However, the baked potato was huge and had a great taste. My partner hadthe 13 oz strip steak with a demi glaze, asparagus and a loaded baked potato. His steak was cooked perfectly and he said had agood taste. They served hot rolls,which were excellent. Their beer is brewed from Susquehanna Brewery and there is quite anextensive cocktail list. The atmosphere is nice and looks quaint with all the wood shelves holding candles in four of the diningrooms. We were seated in the room behind a very uniquely crafted bar. For dessert we had the peanut butter chocolate pie and thechocolate pecan pie. Great desserts. Our dinner was just under $100 not including the tip. But because I took everything intoconsideration, I gave a 4 star review and will try one of their steaks or prime rib next time. Read more

Picture doesn't do it justice. My mom, dad and I got the prime rib. My sister got rack ribs. I'm not exaggerating when I say it... was the best prime rib we've ever eaten. The service and food were both wonderful. My husband and I were in town for a weekend trip and chose this place for dinner. I... have never made such a perfect choice for out of town dinner. The appetizer of crab dip was delicious, the entrees were verytasty, they are easy to work with in terms of swaps or substitutes, and when I mentioned my drink tasted watery, it was happilyswapped. Had a delicious meal for dinner! Great cocktails to start. Old Fashioned and a smoked pineapple Margherita. Had the calamari for... an appetizer. Crispy and tender. Dinner rolls with inhouse made sweet butter. I had the 12 oz cold smoked Ribeye with redskinmashed potatoes. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. One of the best steaks I've ever had! Hubby got the 18 oz bone inRibeye with cheddar mashed potatoes. Equally as good! Reasonably priced as well compared to other higher end steak houses. Superfriendly staff and owner too!!
