We visited the Red Crab for the first time yesterday. The food absolutely Delicious. Started with the Hushpuppy appetizer. The I... got their Weekend special The Shrimp, Crab legs and Lobster Tale in butter sauce steamed, for $38.00. It comes in big clear bagsteamed to perfection, served in a metal bowl. You can select from several different sauces and how spicy you want it. The menuoffers a big selection of seafood boils and you can create you own combos. All meals come with steamed red potatoes and Corn onthe cob that is sweet and delicious. The service was top notch and we didn't have to wait very long for our food to come to thetable. We came to Red Crab for the first time and it wasn?t too bad. We had instant seating and were greeted kindly. We ordered the... Crab Rangoon and were disappointed to find out that there is no crab inside. It basically tasted like Philadelphia creme cheeseand not a hint of crab (I had my friend eat it for me since I didn?t like it). For the Pasta with mixed seafood, I think theyseasoned it with old bay and salt. To be honest, they put a bit too much salt for my liking but it was still kinda good.Otherwise the catfish and oysters were great. Staff checked regularly, the environment was friendly, and waiting is in themiddle. The price wasn?t bad for our order but looking at other things on the menu, my lord the prices are going to be high ifyour going to buy food here for a party. This was a dinner at 5:30 pm on a Sunday and the place was busy however we didn?t have a reservation and were seated right away.... Service was prompt and nondescript. Most things on the menu require the use of your hands, no utensils. You will be provided disposable plastic gloves and a bucket for shells. Many dishes come steamed in plastic bags. I attached pictures to illustrate.I?m not great with peeling shrimp or cracking crab or lobster shells, so I ordered Scallops wrapped in bacon and used utensils.It came with sides of broccoli and they only had white rice, which I cannot eat! I asked if they had brown rice or other nonstarchy vegetables but she said no, only the broccoli. The scallops were excellent but not the bacon. It was hard to cut andchew. My friend got a shrimp and scallops combination which was tasty and came in a plastic bag. She used her gloved hands topeel the shrimps. Atmosphere is great EXCEPT when they turn up the music ridiculously high, there is no way u can communicate w/o almost... shouting. Last visit they were short staff, but except for the wait of getting seated our server was very pleasant andhospitable. Food was delicious 10/10 for that and the passionfruit daiquiri so yummy.
