We ordered fried oyster appetizer. Four small oysters for $26.95. Asked the waiter if there was a mistake. He said no, market... price. Crazy! Blackboard specials have no price. We ordered veal and shrimp. Three shrimp and three mediocre pieces of veal.$45.95 per entree. Just fair. Used to be a great restaurant, no wonder there were only 3 other tables occupied. Read more

Super cozy, romantic atmosphere. Staff was phenomenal & genuine. Love that it?s BYOB. Reminded us of when we ate in Italy. Felt very much like I was back in Italy! BYOB cozy family owned restaurant. Service was excellent, food prepared perfectly to... order and quickly. Delicious lobster ravioli appetizer with amazing sauce. Ordered the ribeye and shrimp special. Steak wascooked just right! The chicken florence with pasta in a lemon sauce was so fresh. It's pretty bold to have Authentic Italian as part of your restaurants name. Your saying to your customers that our sauces are... simple and not pretentious, our pasta is cooked to perfection and our dishes represent the love we have for our food. Sammy's isevery bit authentic. I ordered the linguini with clams and my wife ordered the chicken parmesan. Both dishes are simple and forsome represent a feeling of Nona's kitchen. Although simple, these are the two dishes that other restaurants attempt to mask thenatural flavors of clams and tomatoes with unneeded spices. Sammy was on point. This may sound funny, but I tend to judge anItalian restaurant by it's cannolis. There is nothing better than just filled cannolis with a crunchy shell and a not to sweetcenter. The Italian excellence. Just across the Capitol building. Best Italian food I had in Pennsylvania. The Gelato was just surreal!!... Bruchetta and Pastas were best too. But the view nailed it! Excellent food, wonderful service and all at reasonable prices. If you elect to sit outside, one has a nice view of the Capital... dome and local traffic is hardly noticeable. Bring your own wine or bubble or alcoholic beverage that your heart may desire;they serve no alcohol but they do have nice Italian mineral water. Come hungry and you won?t regret it! Read more
