A friend and I were driving back home from a long trip and stopped in the Harrisburg location for what we thought would be some... good food. When you walk in, the place looks very unkempt and dirty and no one greets you. When we ordered, we asked for thebrown sugar coconut latte and the worker made a comment saying ?I think I know how to make that.? We continued to order thePeruvian potatoes, a bahn mi and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. We waited over a half hour for our food as we overheard theworkers talking about ?new management, being understaffed, the managers husband is a chef and if he saw this kitchen, what arethey going to to do fire me.. go ahead I?ll find another job in 3 days.? It was all very overwhelming. When our food was finallybrought over we asked about the Peruvian potatoes we ordered and the waitress responded ?oh yeah, thanks for reminding me, Iforgot to make those. Would you like a dessert in place of it instead?? (The desert in the case was a sad small donut and an oldlooking cupcake with melted green frosting.)We asked if she could just take them off our bill and she said that the had to seehow she could do that. As we sat there looking at our food, it was pitiful. My bahn mi was definitely not a bahn mi, it was alarge piece of break with a couple brown pieces of tofu and some sauce and a little bit of old shredded carrots. My friendssandwich was just a chicken patty with some sauce, a piece of lettuce and tomatoe. It was not cheap either, so that was not whatwe expected. As we sat their deciding what to do, the chatter and throwing around of items from the workers continued. Then Ihear water dripping and I look up to find that the roof is leaking right next to our table. We asked for our money back and justwanted to get out as soon as possible. The other worker had no problem giving the refund, she did not even ask why or anything.Just did it like it was a normal every day thing. Whatever this location was raved about being, Read more

The food was very unappealing it was our 1st time going to the location and we asked the host what they thought of the food and... what their favorites eats/drinks are. We couldn't hear her and she really didn't communicate well with us. So we just kind ofwinged it on what to eat.. I end up getting the crab handheld it was so dry and very little sauce came with it the mac tastedsoggy. We sat down with a really good energy because the drinks are phenomenal. Unfortunately my partner ordered the barbecuechicken sandwich and it was extremely dry bun and way to much mayo where it's falling out. I really didn't want to leave areview but when we seen the $45.00/50 price you its kind of hard not to. The blueberry lemonade is phenomenal and the Mangosour crush is amazing aswell. I'm super upset I really wanted to like this ???? Read more

This is a pretty great place to stop for vegan food in Harrisburg!! I came with a couple friends and overall we enjoyed our... experience. The nachos were delicious, but I wish there were more chips -- at the end there was a little too much dip. I lovedthe chicken bacon ranch sandwich, so delicious, just not very filling! Some of the portions are a little small, admittedly. Buteverything was fresh!! Service was friendly, albeit a little slow. This is such a fun place to stop for a meal though, and Iloved the atmosphere!! Read more

Once again, The Vegetable Hunter has delivered: on deliciousness, on colorfulness, on kindness. As a self-designated Kindness... Curator, I go around to different places looking for the perfect pairings of goods/services and kindness. The Vegetable Hunteris one of those few places that has mastered the customer experience. I recommend dining on the second floor where there areguitars you strum in between luscious bites. I also recommend leaning over and asking your stranger-neighbor what they got andif they like it. The last time I did that, my stranger-neighbor and I became fast friends and exchanged pictures of rainbowsfrom our travels. We hug. Beautiful energy was exchanged. Our auras expanded that day. Who know what miracle you mightexperience when you go! #GodIsAwesome #JesusIsLord #ParacleteIsPowerful Read more

I love The Vegetable Hunter. It?s my all-time fave vegan spot (and I used to live in NYC, where vegan options were plentiful).... Although I would love to try everything on the menu I?m too obsessed with the tofu banh mi sandwich to get anything else. (It?sso good I almost finished it before taking the pic). It?s literally the most perfect sandwich. The micro-brewed beer andchickpea salad are favorites of my (meat-eating) boyfriend and the baked goods are so good you would never know they were vegan. The staff is also super friendly and kind. Infinite stars!!! Read more

Coming from a meat eating person, everything was great. The chickpea salad is a little spicy which was a pleasant surprise, and... the kale salad was amazing as well. I forgot that vegans don't eat dairy products and got halfway through my pesto grilledcheese without realizing it! Everything is fresh and delicious, thank you! Read more
