Edit: added response to owner - Your advertised hours at the shop or online (google maps) DO NOT REFLECT WHEN SHOP IS ACTUALLY... OPEN. I live in the area and have been a customer literally since the opening. I truly enjoyed the food and, especially thecoffee. However, there is clearly management issue, particularly with sticking to the schedule. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The place isopen when they choose to. Have been a customer for few years. Shop has really hard times sticking to advertised schedule,closing it on random days on regular basis. Like today - closed on Monday. The food is alright. It?s amazing by NJ standards. NY is just too close for their standards to not apply. What frustrates me the... most about this place is - they are open half the time I try to go there. Can you just be open consistently? One more thing isthey always put cheese in your bagel even if you ask not to. So now on I just ask for less disgusting kind. Because if you asknot to put any cheese, they give you American. Huge drop in quality over the years and big price increases. Also read how the owner has been responding to customer... feedback. This place USED to be the BEST place for a pork roll egg and cheese by a long shot when it first opened. It?s beenaround a year since our last visit and we were shocked to see how much the price went up and the sandwich tasted mediocre atbest. Based on the way the owner responds to other people?s reviews that are fewer than 5 stars, it doesn?t seem like the ownercares about customer satisfaction. Disappointing to see. Read more
DO NOT GO HERE! THEY CANT DO SIMPLE ORDERS AND IT WILL BE WRONG!!!!!! My partner and I entered the establishment on 7/2/22 at... 13:08 hours and ordered two breakfast sandwiches . We waited in the establishment for our order to be made and upon receivingthe order realized that there were no condiments on it one of the condiments being spicy Mayo which was for a additional costwhich inconvenienced us to enter back into the establishment to request for the condiments which was given so we can apply onour own.Upon starting to indulge on our orders we then realized that our sandwiches did not have any American cheese on themwhich was how the order was placed . We then had to go back to the establishment for the doors to be locked at 13:30 ( mind youthey are technically open until 15:00) and wait for the employee to open the door to then advise that our order was incorrectand missing a item . The employee then took our sandwiches and closed the door and locked it and left us outside in the heatand returned back five minutes later and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience that was caused us twice to return back tothe establishment to then receive the sandwiches with a cold slice of American cheese thrown on it.At this point the sandwichesshould have been re-made as by the time we received our order in completion it was 13:40 . I've been here before and decided tobring my partner to try since I was raving about it and never had a issue and we were the last customers to place a order before"closing" the doors and it was a simple order and should not have been made wrong twice . Awesome spot for fresh coffee and a bagel. If you get a bacon, egg and cheese, the bagel doesn't come toasted. If I would have... know, I would have asked for it toasted or warmed. Fast and easy with good service. Read more
I love it, the service and the food. Since its a local shop with local hours, I understand they will close early or stop when... theres no more bagels, that means their doing great! No complaints from me when they close early, just need to get there beforeits all sold out. Smoked Salmon with Chive: Cheese Bagel: Awesome amount of awesome for something around $5 dollars! There wasa great amount of chive and cream cheese, it was wonderful combo, I would recommend it for anyone. But the salmon was nice andfresh. The bagel was perfect, nice crispy, yet soft on the inside! Sausage Egg and Cheese: Plain Bagel: I do wish there was abit more salt in their sausage patties. But it is a generic sausage patty, don't expect it to be homemade. The bagel is great,soft inside with and nice crisp outer crust . The eggs and cheese is nothing wild, but altogether tastes great! Hash Brown andEgg: It tasted good, simple eggs and a hash brown, its no gourmet, but the price at 2.50 ish is worth it for a quickfix. Latte: The balance was not so great, there was too much milk, diluting the taste. Overall, ok, but its not known forcoffee compared to bagels so no compared. The service is great, calm workers and now how to prioritize their work. Looks likethey been through tough customers. They seems to have a good online ordering system and a nice cafe space inside. Nice place allaround and fully recommend it as a true local true! The price is affordable as well, under the average rip you off prices, Iwould say it is a good $5 dollars average for most items. Damn I really liked Harrison Bagels and was surprised to see that the owner cannot take criticism and instead has to be verbally... abusive .. Anyway pay your bills bro and Hopefully you will be more humble .. Try Wonder Bagels they have multiple locations andthe hours of operation are consistent. Read more
