Thursday night's in Harrison just got better with JAZZ NIGHT at the Vanguard. Every Thursday there is live music, in a... comfortable lounge area where you can eat, drink and listen to music. The food was delicious recommend the burger and beerspecial. The drinks where good and the staff was great. If you are in the lounge you have to order in front but staff will bringyour drinks/food, had a great time it was like a private mini concert. The only suggestion I had for the venue is to have somemusic playing when the musicians go on breaks. Will definitely be going back and bringing more people. Read more

Such a lovely place. The Vanguard. So, I'm originally in from Texas, and eventually will be relocating to the area. Since my... work is relocating me to the general visicinty. This place was very welcoming. I ordered a miller lite, and some fried pickles.Both were exceptional. Also, I ended up staying and waiting for my ole lady. We ended up having dinner and a few drinks there aswell. The location of this place is pretty good. It is located around really nice apartments that appear to have been recentlybuilt. So, the young people can come, eat, drink socialize. It's convenient to the train to NYC and if it's red bulls match day,I'm sure this place does quite the business. The price was pretty reasonable. Yet, for a place looking like this, I'd expect ahigher price tag. (Definitely not complaining). I wish the owners and everyone involved success going forward, and thanks forhaving me. I shall return. Brunch at The Vanguard was about what you'd expect for a brunch. There was a light crowd. The space felt covid safe as groups... were definitely seated spaces out. THE GREAT: The unexpected ???? of our brunch were the fried pickles. They were delicious. Light, crispy, enjoyable. The red sangria was so good. The waffle was amazing. THE NO-SO-GREAT: 3 of us opted for Chicken &Waffles which is served like a huge sandwich. While the waffle was outstanding (as mentioned) and the chicken was crispy,???????? the chicken could have used a little more seasoning,???????? It was dry,????????and it was lukewarm ????????. I mighthave sent it back, but our server was m.i.a. so I made it work. Overall, if I am visiting Urby again, I'll probably give TheVanguard another try. But for this visit, ?????? Read more
Decided to try a new restaurant tonight on a whim and we were pleasantly surprised with The Vanguard. The service was great and... the foods we ordered were delicious. We'll have to come back on different days of the week to experience all the activities andspecials they have going on each day. Read more
Visited here all the way from The Bahamas!! The atmosphere was very chilled and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and... welcoming. I tried the spinach dip, bbq boneless wings, and also the skirt steak entree. Service was fast and the food wasexcellent. Read more
The girls and I got together for brunch at this location. When I arrived I parked in the nearby garage and the restaurant... validated. When I walked in the hostess sat us and Mark was our server and he was great. For drinks we got sangria and I likedthe red one. One of my friends ordered the deviled eggs and I took a little taste and it was pretty good. For my brunch meal Igot the veggie burger and that was about $16 and it was ok. The fries on the side was crispy and tasty. The girls ordered steak& eggs and the avocado toast & eggs and they liked their meals. I really liked the atmosphere of this place and we all enjoyed. We had a wonderful date night for our first time at The Vanguard. Definitely worth checking out, especially during the holidays.... Use the parking lot on the side of the building, parking will be difficult. Cheers! Read more
