With such a small space you wouldn't expect the quality service. Sitting in the restaurant for just about an hour I heard every... customer be greeted. They were honest about the situation, and they knew that it could drive customers away. I'm more thanthankful we stayed. Watching the make your own waffles be created was incredible. Charming cuisine enticing both the child and... larger child... in us all. Expect a small dining area, two-at-a-table max, for... dining-in. Though perhaps it's best you don't flaunt to larger crowds the delighted (perhaps frenzied) feasting in which you'llfind yourself. The fare here is waffles... of that, all kinds. Expect your waffle base to be topped with an array of savoryor sweet combinations, each guaranteed to tempt a variety of tastes. While I found culinary joy in something rather spicy(complete with queso, chorizo, eggs, buffalo sauce and jalapeños), I quickly extinguished those flames in the coolingcombination of fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream, Nutella and crumbled cake atop a (you guessed it) delicious waffle. Thewaffles are thick and hearty (everything a Waffle House waffle wishes it could be) and each one hints at an otherwordlysweetness... quietly whispering to you all the things you need to hear when enjoying a dessert that would be immature and absurdif it weren't for its art-like presentation and comforting warmth. I brought my wife this evening and within one bite of oursavory treats, we were already wondering what other mysteries awaited us at our next trip (not soon enough!). We split eachwaffle and found that to be more than enough, especially when paired with one of their mimosas (they also have soft drinks andbeer). Prices are fair, more than reasonable in fact, and they have a small variety of gifts for purchase (I had my eye on thesyrup combo packs and would love to be gifted one of their t-shirts). Each table has a list of "rules" for newcomers, as wellas more maple syrup and a bottle of hot sauce. We found Ann and Victoria to be wonderfully pleasant hosts, both courteous andefficient. I recently went in to try their waffles after seeing their Facebook posts online constantly! But, I will say that the food... definitely looks much better than for what it tastes. The restaurant only fits 5-7 people, which is something that you can?treally bring your family or a group of friends in to eat together because there is no outdoor seating. Be aware about theparking situation downtown as well. I got one of each: Cap?n Bacon Waffle and Egg Queso & Bacon Waffle. To be honest, I wouldorder these ever again but to decide on which one was better, I would say Cap?n. Both achieved the waffle flavour and texture,the waffle itself has great taste but I feel that the toppings makes it overwhelming. The scrambled eggs on the Egg Queso Wafflewas super salty, as if I was eating a spoonful of salt. They definitely did not taste before serving. The hollandaise sauce wasmediocre, not the perfect yellow creamy color.
