El Charro has been a favorite of mine in the H?burg area since college?I almost always go for the Chicken Enchiladas Rancheros. ... I was sad to see that after not having been there for around four years the dish no longer comes with their fantastic refriedbeans and rice?regardless their food is the best Mexican around with high quality ingredients as well as fantastic and friendlyservice. When you eat-in or carry out your meal comes along with a generous portion of tortilla chips and great tastinghomemade salsa. Had ordered the taco bowl and was extremely disappointed. The bowl was very soggy and unpleasant. Chicken was dry and clearly... lacked seasoning. The service was mediocre at best but the real complaint here is the quality of the food. Read more
My family and I recently stopped here on the way home from vacation. We love Mexican food and eat it often. First we started... out with chips and salsa. The salsa was sub par. It didn't have a lot of flavor, it was kind of bland. We ordered ourtraditional foods like tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas. Nothing was spectacular. It was hot, portions were fair, but the foodwasn't particularly flavourful. It wasn't bad per say, but it wasn't anything to write home about. The service wasn't very goodeither. First restaurant we tried when moving here. Listen, it's not a whole lot more than your typical local Mexican restaurant. That... said, the food is always good. Service is always good and people are nice and generous. Our family always has a good time whenwe go there. Probably our most frequented restaurant for a family with grade school kids.
