My family and I have been coming here for decades - it is a special place in Harrisonburg. We come here for numerous occasions:... lunch, dinner, dine in, large take out orders for parties and etc. Their food is the greatest! Food is well seasoned, deliciousand fresh. Drinks are wonderful. Menu offers varies types of foods & drinks. Definitely recommend if you are visitingHarrisonburg. I think that most local people here are very familiar with El Charro. Very good food. A lot of people with family, kids and friends come here. One strange thing which I experienced was when I... ordered a margarita I was asked to show my DL/ID by the server. Well, may be their policy I guess. But no where else I was askedto show my ID when I ordered a margarita. Anyways that was not a big deal, the food compensate it all. The chicken tacos aredelicious. The food was delicious, and the margarita was fantastic! They did not cheap out on the alcohol. Now, why the four stars... There... was nothing wrong with the food or drinks, but we got there a little later, around 830, and they closed at 10. Around 9:45, allthe employees started to hang out around where we were sitting, talking, and laughing; meanwhile, we were still eating. Then allof a sudden, they began to vacuum around our table; this was before 10 pm. We politely asked if they could wait until we weredone eating before vacuuming; the waiter smiled and said yes, then all the employees started to talk loudly and laugh. Veryunpleasant situation. First visit here. Food is incredible. I had the fish tacos which were extremely fresh and well seasoned. Their salsas are too... good! My date had the vegetarian quesadillas which were good too.
