Hidden gem of a Japanese restaurant off the busy Main St/Rte 11 car dealership row. I came in for lunch and didn't realize it... was an all-you-can-eat situation until I ordered my food. I wish I could have ordered a la carte since I wasn't super hungry, but lesson learned. Sushi was decent and so was the seaweed salad. Looking forward to coming back and trying more items when Ihave a bigger appetite! Read more

Hokkaido is a pleasant surprise! Nestled in a highway of restaurants, this unassuming Japanese restaurant greets you with a... beautiful waterfall and three waving cat statues as you open the door. Hokkaido has two options for ordering - a traditionalmenu or mix-and-match combos. The combos are an outstanding choice and highly recommended - grab some sushi or teriyaki, andcombine it with some nice appetizers. Recommended for locals and tourists alike! Read more

We have been here over 20x since August of this year and I have nothing bad to say about Hokkaido. You’ve experienced... everything to the max. When coming to dine in, the “All you can eat” buffet style is amazing. I’m not a sushi fan but myfriends are and they absolutely love it here. I always get the Hibachi; different meats are available: Steak, Chicken, Shrimpand a combination of 2. I’ve tried all types of Hibachi’s and I always come back for more. Customer service is the greatest, they recognize us as soon as we call to place an order. We feel comfortable with the employees and the environment. They makeyou feel welcomed! I have not been disappointed, and I don’t expect it anytime soon. The love the way they work, excellentpeople in the community. Read more

The sushi here was ok, but definitely not the best. The main appeal seems to be the "all you can eat" format. However, wait time... between plates seems to be at least ten minutes. For reference, I stopped in for a late lunch and there were only two othertables occupied. However, the thing that brought the rating down to two stars is the atmosphere. The entire time I was there, two of the staff were arguing and yelling at each other in the dining area. I would have liked to have stayed longer and getsome dessert, but it was way too stressful to stick around. I ate as fast as I could and got out of there. Read more

Super fast delivery, they did it in 13-14 minutes, bravo! The food was very tasty, I try hibachi for the first time and it did... not disappoint me! Now I will know about rolls what "hand roll" is, otherwise I could not understand what is the difference fromthe classic one and realized that I like the classic round rolls more. Shumai with sauce is also quite tasty. It was a surpriseto see soup and salad, completely free, thank you very much, very nice! ???????? Read more

Best food in Harrisonburg, hands down! I didn't even know I liked sushi until Hokkido came to town. If you're new to sushi,... start with something simple like a Philly roll or KCC roll. And if you're not into sushi at all, their Hibachi choices areamazing as well. For one price you can eat all you want, ordering from the menu and having hot, fresh and delicious food everytime. ????? Great all you can eat.. nice variety on menu.. tuna was very small pieces with a lot of left over rice.. no substitutions,... however, leave offs and add on are available.. great service.. busy, yet, not over crowded.. Nice stop off the interstate aftera mountain hike.. prices are reasonable with quality expected for the price.. typical all you can eat Virginia sushi, nothing towrite home about, but left fat and happy ????
