Literally a sign on the window saying the dining room is open 24/7. Get inside and they tell me they're only doing pickups and... the manager locked them out so they couldn't even put in an order if they wanted to. Read more

This was my very first visit at Denny and I will never ever go back. The waiter a young man took us to a dirty table and their... was a puddle if water on the floor. The hostess came and said chose another table. All the tables including the booth of notbeen cleaned. The hostess wiped off the table. The young was servicing another large party. We waited for a while and hefinally came over. Since it was a while we knew what we wanted. I order the French toast eggs bacon and sausage. A cup ofcoffee. My boyfriend sausage and eggs and coffee and juice. Our coffee came and we were given 1 spoon to share to stir ourcup of coffee. We had to ask for cream. The coffee was cold. We had to wave to get his attention so he could heat the coffeeup. Then he bot the breakfast to us it look great. The items on my place was very cold. The young man must have been doing uber eat or door dash because he was always taking items to cars outside. Finally got his attention to get our food reheatedand he did. I watched him go over to the tables were it was a large group. He clear the dirty dishes off the table did notwipe down or sweep in the area. It was a dirty and a mess. I would not recommend this place to anyone. First time and my lasttime going there. It is not healthy to have someone serve your food while running to take food to people in cars outside. Well 2 weeks in a row we stop in once for breakfast and once for dinner. Needless to say even with their 24/7 New sign... indicating they are open 24/7 They Aftab told us one time sorry there's not enough staff for today so we can't seat you. Thispast week we go in morning before 11:AM and the staff is sitting on the bench and tells us come back in about an hour as he'seating his cup of ice says we don't have enough staff. The place was obviously empty with about 6 employees and everyone wassitting down! I drove from across town just to go to Dennys and there's no staff to serve us ???? TWO times! Wait what!? Andyou're promoting 24/7 worth the new sign to the right of the door!!! What an inconvenience and a huge letdown! Read more

I would give a 0 star but unfortunately it won't let me. As I read the other reviews I tell myself, well at least they all got... to place their order. We couldn't even do that. My two brothers (one which I haven't seen over 10yrs) my husband, my elderlymother and I arrive to Denny's at about 1pm or 2. We walk up to where you wait to be seated as we stand there for a few minutesthe waitress girl yells from across a few tables says to us "You have to wait to be seated" with a really bad attitude. We justlook at each other in total confusion and say okay. At this time we had no clue what she was talking about because no one wasmoving. Then she comes back within 5 minutes and says "the wait will be 20-30 minutes because we are doing shift change and I amnot gonna serve you cause I am leaving". At this point we were like nope and we turned around and left. I'm sorry but theseplaces need better customers service training or just better people in general. We had not seen my brother in 10+ yrs all wewanted to do was eat and have catch up. Oh and wait we are not even from Hartford, some of us were coming from Meriden and theothers from Manchester so yes, Hartford keeps living up to it's reputation. People like this one makes Hartford look ratchet. I think since the last time I've been at this location there has been no change. Reading some of the other reviews to prove my... point well proves my point. Waited forever for drinks. Food actually came at a reasonable time and was really good. The waitressnever came back to check on us. The only time i could get her attention was when she was at the table behind us. Took like 20minutes to get a couple pieces of toast. Asked for the check when i finally got it but didn't get it so finally just got up topay. Didn't realize she was the only server on and was getting yelled at. She was nice and i get it you're by yourself but ishouldn't have been there an hour, hour and a half. Heed this warning!!! If you have any other opportunity to go somewhere else for your late night munchies, DO NOT come here, go... to your next choice. In the history of restaurants, this has to be recorded for posterity, as the worst service I have everreceived in my entire life. It is early, early Wednesday morning so I wouldn?t expect for a hold up like this. The restaurant isempty except for 2 or 3 other patrons, and it is impossible to get seated. Finally, after a 45 min wait at the counter my friendand I seated ourselves. Moreover, after sitting at the table for 30 minutes waiting on a server, we decided to go to the bar toorder. At which time a server gave us the largest attitude when telling us to go be seated and he would be over when he could.Next, my friend has enough and yells for service. Finally, a server comes and offers us drinks but we are still unable to order.We are probably going on an hour and a half, without out food. It?s like we are being totally ignored. At this rate, it will beFriday before we receive our meals. ??????????? I am normally a Denny?s fan but this service has been absolutely horrible, and Ihaven?t even been able to eat yet. I?m so vexed I couldn?t wait until the end of the visit to write this review. I?m a prettypatient guy but I?m about ready to walk out. This is totally ridiculous. The management at this location need to either hirestaff, get the staff you have to pay better attention to their customers because this is by far, the worst service I have everreceived. 24hr that's what great. 3 people run this place the manager, the cook, and the waitress late. At the time, inventory of the menu... is lacking. The best order was the pot roast but missing the bread and mushrooms. The burger was replace with sandwich bread.The steak look nothing like the menu steak and I'm missing the bread. I did not tip cuz the overall dining in experience wasn'tgreat or convience for the amount of stuff you'll get compared to a different hour and other Denny's. You'll still be charge thefull amount even if you didn't get all your items that suppose to be part of your order. I'll do a charge back if you can'tdispute with the Marchant over the phone for a smaller price. I can't speak for online order at the hour when inventory waslacking. Read more

Going to a Denny's for the first time in a very long while, was a retro experience. Denny's to me, has always been a place I was... happy to pull into after many hours on the road out west. Their sign was a beacon in the wilderness. It still delivers what youneed whether it's breakfast or lunch. Here in Hartford, the service was casual and slow. The orders for maybe nine of us in agathering, were a little mixed up or needed fixing, but all in all everything was good. In my reviews, I always note there arereasons why restaurant chains like this stay open - reliable food, wide locations and low prices. Read more
