Came here for lunch yesterday (Saturday) to buy some sides since I had meat from Texas road house the night before. I got Mac... and cheese. Collard, rice and Lima beans. Idk what happened over the years or WHO made Mac cheese this batch, but ?.that thangtasted like melted plastic elbow. Almost had a smoked flavor to it. There was no flavor no cheese. Just elbows?The cheese itDID have seemed curdled, almost like eggs? I had to actually go to the store to buy extra cheese. Came home and jazzed it up.It was still unpleasant ?But I was hungover and hungry. So you do what you have to do. The collared was decent. I liked it. Theboxed uncle bens rice and canned watered lima beans were horrible. I had to dump hot sauce to make it edible. Is it supposed totaste like water? I feel like it supposed to taste like soul food. Idk tell me for I can know. I use to love this place, butit?s like now they are just shelling out what ever they can. I would eat a box of velveeta before I ever eat the Mac here. Catered a birthday party and food got rave reviews! Prices were fair, ordering was easy, service was wonderful, and presentation... was excellent! Each pan was boxed and the collards were double wrapped to prevent any spilling. Will definitely be back!! Read more
Mad that I forgot to take photos, but I will get them next time. I placed an order for fried chicken and Mac and cheese for both... sides and and order of fried wings Mac and cheese and fries. First up the fried chicken wasn't fried fresh. The fries werenothing out of the ordinary. But the Mac and cheese is why we'll be going back. It's fresh, it's seasoned, it's perfect.
