The food is great, but be sure to check the price they charge you when you?re checking out. They add 10% to every menu item and... don?t make you aware of it. The blonde lady with glasses rang me up, and I mentioned the difference in pricing to her when Irealized and she was very rude about it. I asked her why they hadn?t updated the menu or at least let me know about the priceincrease when ordering and she told that I?m the only one who has complained about it and that it wasn?t her fault that I wasn?tmade aware of it basically putting blame on co-workers. She has no business dealing with customers the way she went aboutherself. She even told me that if I didn?t like it then don?t come back. I?ve gone to New York Pizza several times but afterthis experience, I won?t be back as long as she?s on staff. Read more

This was my first time coming here since I only came by for nearby work, but it definitely won?t be my last. Hartwell has that... small town feel, yet a lively and lovely downtown area. And this place is the hole-in-the-wall restaurant you want to visit. Thestaff was tremendously friendly. I came at a perfect time, not many guests. The only waitress at the time, Brittany, was veryattentive to all her guests and yet spoke to and served you as if you were the only one there. I had the garlic knots and asmall NY Style Stuffed Pizza. The food was great tasting although slightly overdone on the outside of the bread, the inside wasstill soft and warm, and the flavors tasted great. And they would considering they make all their food from scratch. For desert,NY Cheesecake which they get from a local bakery nearby? it was some of the best cheesecake I had! I couldn?t believe it wasmade there, I thought for sure it was imported. Go visit and plan to take 2 or 3 people to share your meal with or you will needto-go boxes. I love eating at NYP more than any place In Hartwell! Being that it is family owned it makes it so much more comfortable and... enjoyable! The food is always so fresh and they go above and beyond to make you feel at home and to make sure your enjoying yourvisit!
