A small mom and pop place; typical diner decor, lots of classic and modern images on metal plates. Elvis chillin'/singing in the... main dining room. Fish fry is on point. Extremely light, but flavorful coating. I hesitate to say breading, as you can tell theydip it here. None of that frozen, prepared fish filets. French fries are lightly seasoned, thick, and were fried well. Coleslawis not a masterpiece, but a pleasantly creamy and tart counterpoint to fries. Good service, obviously a local favorite. Great hamburger, hot dog and ice cream shop with a vintage feel. The entire restaurant is decorated with metal vintage lunch... boxes and little model cars as well as publicity posters from pop culture of the past several decades. Good food. Really cleanbathrooms. Great find of a place! It has a easy to find entrance with a generous gravel parking lot. You could probably stop to eat if... towing and be able to get in and out. They do have a icecream window outside. Once inside they have the menus at the tables, youseat yourself (and at the counter). Once you decide, order and pay at the counter. You get a vibration pager to alert you tothe meal being done. They also appeared to have a take out shelf inside just past the first few tables. The food was reallygood, the fries were thick and perfectly crispy. The burgers were crazy July. Chili on the Chilli dog appeared to be homemadeand very good. The chips served were crispy and perfect. The portions were generous and the pricing was great and didn't breakthe bank! You can sit inside where there is a good amount of seating. If not being used...there is more seating in the backhalf of the building where they also have some games for playing. They also use that room for arge groups and rentals accordingto the sign. Back there it also has a atm and a change machine if needed. Great retro theme all throughout wiith plenty to lookat and keep you occupied. Ice cream for desert is a great way to end ...or begin your meal! They do have some outside seatingand a little playset for lids to have fun on and burn off some energy. We had lunch here the first day, followed by ice cream. Food was well prepared and tasty. No need to tell you my grandkids loved... the ice cream. On top of it all the prices were very reasonable.
