Was at a festival, not even hungry. This heavenly scent kept wafting at my nose. I followed it to Big John?s food truck. Got a... Philly cheesesteak and fries because I was already planning on eating BBQ for dinner. I?m so glad I tried this cheesesteak! Itwas the best I?ve ever had! The fries were awesome as well. Stopped by Big John's food truck over at the Honey Festival and all I can say is - Wow! I was recommended the pulled pork... sandwich paired with hot BBQ sauce and it didn't disappoint. Aside from the food being amazing, so was the customer service. Allthree of the lovely staff members won me over with their charm and left me excited to stop by and dine in, next time I'm intown. My wife and I drove up to Huntsville for a concert and on our way out at the end of the show, we stopped at Big John?s food... truck. The food was seasoned so well and, even cold, tasted too delicious! Also, the portions were huge and we had plenty forbreakfast the next day. We wish there was a location where we live. Read more

If you ever find yourself if harvest and wanting some BBQ, Big John's should be your stop. It's connected to an Exxon gas... station. It's on the right side and The Event Bar is on the left. (Another great place to eat, btw.) I got the rib combo plate.It comes with two sides. I got the Mac and cheese and coleslaw. I appreciate that the coleslaw states on the menu that it'svinager based. You never know what kind of slaw you are going to get at a bbq place and it stops the questioning by having itclearly stated. The ribs had a lot of flavor. They weren't exactly fall off the bone but the flavor was amazing. The Mac andcheese has super cheesy and creamy and the coleslaw was a classic vinegar based slaw. Oh man was this some good bbq! I ordered the pulled pork combo plate, which comes with two sides, fried cabbage and tater salad.... The pork was juicy and seasoned so we'll I didn't even need the bbq sauce. The tater salad was just how I like it, good combo ofmayo and mustard. The fried cabbage was outstanding, I loved it so much. It was also nice to see something different on themenu. The bbq sauce was very different and pretty good once you get used to it. Big John's was a pleasant surprise. When I go to barbq place s for the first time,I usually pick something safe for everyone... claims to be good but not. Just being honest. Upon entering I was greeted by to young gentleman that was full of life. Weengaged in the convo about barbq after I ordered my safe bet wings. I told them that I was going to get the ribs but had somebad experience at other places serving what I call pork jerky. One of the guys said you cheated yourself and asked for a samplerib from the kitchen. To some things up the rib was good!It was a baby back that was very tender and seasoned right. There wasno sauce masking the barbq and wouldn't recommend using. I received my order in less than 5 and was ready to get home to samplewhat I purchased. I wasn't a mile away before my hand was in the box pulling out a wing lol. When I tell you that these wingswere so good that I could have finished them before making it home to finish the sides.I avoided that temptation and finishedthe complete meal at home.My choice of sides were baked beans and Mac and cheese. Both of these sides were made with lovemeaning homemade. To sum up my visit this place gets the thump up and a must visit.The wings are some of the best I've had.
