Yummy! Oh my goodness, the fat tire cheese pretzels are so good. Not at all skimpy on the cheese sauce. The pizza was hot,... fresh, & crispy. The cheese steak Stromboli was very tasty. We absolutely love Grotto out at the Lake. The atmosphere isperfect to enjoy watching the lake with the boats and water-skiing. Sit back enjoy amazing food and fabulous service. Read more
The Grotto/Grand Slam Sports Bar and Restaurant is a landmark at Harvey's Lake. It's menu consists of pizza, wings, salads,... calzone, and more. We arrived at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night, and we're able to have a seat on it's wraparound deck facing thelake. The chef's salad was very good, with slices of ham, turkey, and a hard boiled egg sitting on a bed of lettuce. Weordered several types of pizza, which came in 16 and 8-inch pies. The chicken wing. Margherita, pepperoni and onion, andregular pizzas were very good, with plenty of toppings evenly distributed throughout the traditional round pies. Been Eating at Joe's since it was a roadside stand. This was the last time I will go there. Pizza crust was dry and tasteless,... Boneless wings were hard as a rock and mostly breading. Natcho Supreme was soggy. In general all the appetizer portions haveshrunken and quality has plummeted. Spent close to 200 bucks for my family and some out of town guests and was thoroughlyembarrassed and disappointed. Read more
The Grotto is the staple pizza place on Harvey's Lake. They've been there forever. Not just pizza, there's something for... everyone on the menu and in entertainment. Try the pizza, it is what they are known for; it is so good. Arcade area for thekids, dining area for quiet dining, bar area with live music for evening entertainment. Service is prompt and friendly. Great location with view of the lake. Food is very good--great chicken parm dinner--smaller piece of chicken but fried... perfectly and very flavorful. Spaghetti/sauce was a bit bland, but I find that typical. Buffalo chicken dip app wasgreat--served with warm pita triangles. Salad was fresh and they have some of the best balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Servicewas average. We would visit here again. Read more
