The dinner we had here was fantastic and surrounded by a wonderful historic ambiance. I'd have to imagine the rooms would be... equally as nice as well. Just by chance, I ate close to Nolan's table and wanted to submit a review to balance the 1 star reviewthey had loudly discussed writing as soon as the waitstaff left the room. Very simple people who lack the ability to helpthemselves and would rather give a small, family-run establishment a permanent reputation ding. Read more
Very pleasant decor and interesting menu. We were recommended a bottle of pinot noir which was only fair at $50. The duck confit... was too salty and by the time our server came around, my wife had eaten most of the carrots, potatoes, and chutney but not theduck. When the server was informed politely that the duck was inedible, my wife was asked if we were local. No adjustments weremade to our bill and no offer was made. We have enjoyed confit many times and this dish was way off. We had a reservation forthe next night as we had informed our server on arrival. Given the inadequate customer service we canceled the next eveningsreservation. UPDATE. The owner Reply is inaccurate. A generous cash tip was left and "no tip" was written on the charge slip. Ihave many years in the hospitality restaurant industry. Well before the check came the server was asked to tell the chef aboutthe inedible dish, even for the chef to taste it. The man at the podium was also advised of the inedible dish and that wewished to cancel our table for the following evening. Read more
Had a delicious dinner out with my mother at Mooncussers! Cheryl gave us excellent service and recommended some very flavorful... and artfully crafted dinners. We will certainly be back again soon! Read more
The food was so good. Unusual burgers but the chef was spot on in pairing the ingredients! Also, the dirty blue martini was... delicious, but dangerous! ???? Finally, the crudo, which we had multiple nights was simple, but superb. This place is an absolute gem! We had a group of 7 which they accommodated by giving us our own dining room. All of the starters... were great, and the main entrees were - surprisingly - even better. I ordered the steak frites, and can unreservedly say it isthe best that I have ever had. To a person, everyone in our group raved about their meals. Add to that, the service wasfantastic. The owner was a total sweetie, and took the time to chat with us for a while. If you are in the area, and don't pay avisit, it is you loss. Read more
