I cannot honestly say why, but we have driven by there numerous times over the years and failed to go there. We are so sorry! It... is one of our favorite restaurants now! We've been there twice in the past few weeks, and cannot wait to bring our family andfriends along! We really like German food, to date we have only had it at family gatherings, if not cooking it ourselves. Theirdishes are so delicious! I know that liver and onions aren't everyone's thing, but this is the best I have ever had! My 9 yonephew has come along both times; this kid never likes to explore much and always eats really plain food. He tried fourdifferent German dishes and liked them all! ???? Can't wait to go back! I would have gave it a five star but I got the wrong order. I ordered the bacon and blue cheese burger and got one with cheese... and BBQ sauce. Couldn't get the waitresses attention so I just ate it. They were very busy. It was very good burger! Read more
Wow! Excellent food and service! Their menu has something for everyone. Tina was fun, bubbly and very knowledgeable! We chose... and split the Taste of Germany Sampler. My wife and I stopped after hiking at Afton State Park. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress that was Uber... friendly. Service was quick, and authentic. The food was very good and fast to our table from the kitchen. We enjoyed the visitand the hospitality. We'll be back and have already recommended the location to some friends. Read more
The restaurant had balloons up for Valentines, which I thought was very nice. A patron, I?m guessing a regular, let us know we... could sit wherever when we walked in which I found charming and funny. Came for lunch on a Saturday, and it seemed they wouldhave benefited from having another server. It seemed like there was only 1, and she was having trouble getting back to checkingin on all the tables. She was friendly though. When I enquirer about what kind of soda they had, I was told ?we have just abouteverything?, which I also found amusing. The food was mediocre. We stopped here specifically for their German potato salad whichhad been recommended to us, and found it underwhelming. My husband really enjoyed the bratwurst and cabbage & gravy. He said thesauerkraut was ?just ok?. I had the burger topped with bbq, coleslaw & onion rings. The burger was pretty good, but the ?onionrings? were just burnt onions. I also received waffle fries instead of the onion rings I ordered because the waitress hadn?twritten our order down, and seemed to have gotten that mixed up. (It?s always annoying when they don?t write down your order andthen proceed to get something mixed up!) Just rating the food, I?d give it a 3/5. But because of the friendly atmosphere,friendly staff and friendly patrons, I?d say the whole experience is a 4/5. Read more
