This is an amazing place. We are from KS and our son liveed/worked in Hastings. Eri, Natali and Teresa are amazing. Very... friendly are great hosts/servers. Our son is moving back to KS but we will keep driving 3 hours when we can to visit El ToroHastings because we love how this 3 ladies treat us. The best mexican restaurant in NE and KS?. What an amazing place to eat with family, or sit at the bar and watch the game! Food is delicious, especially the Carne Asada... and burritos! I love the El Toro restaurant in Hastings, NE. It was open a large percent of the time during the pandemic when most eating... places were closed. The restaurant is very roomy, tables and booths are spaced a good distance apart, so I had no qualms abouteating there during the pandemic. I love the atmosphere, the music, the service, and the excellent food. I highly recommend ElToro for your eating enjoyment! Read more

It was not busy when we were there. It did take us some time to decide on our order. After we decided what we wanted, we... waited for our server to come by. Maybe 5 to 10 minutes later, I got up to let them know we were ready. Very pleasant. Salsais very good and not too spicy. Cheese quesadilla was awesome. Taco was okay. Bland. Flavorless. Excellent service and food. Wr asked the waiter for his recommendation who suggested the fajitas. I prefer very spicy food and... asked if the dish could be made spicy. Without hesitation a quick yes and away he went. My wife had the chili rejano which wasdelicious. My son ordered shrimp tacos, very healthy portion of 3 tacos stuffed with shrimp, onion, sweet peppers, and a tastysauce. Our server checked on us at precisely the right times and was very courteous asking how we liked each dish and answeredquestions about the spices and flavors. Had the $20 three birria tacos and the shredded beef was extremely salty. The waiter asked how the food was and I complained how... salty the tacos were to where they were unpalatable. The waiter said he couldn't do anything about it and was going to have tocharge me the $20 for 3 tacos since the manager wasn't there on a Saturday. I argued with the waiter for 5 mins until he justwalked away and gave me the bill for full price. I've never been to a rude establishment such as El Toro to where they chargeyou full price for food that tastes horrible and they don't even care about your satisfaction as a customer. Read more
