My wife and I stopped in to Murphys on a trip to the Hastings museum. We were impressed by the pleasant atmosphere and very... impressed by the selection on the menu. I had their Reuben Burger which was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered chickenstrips which were very meaty and tasted great. We recommend Murphys and will be stopping in again soon! Read more
I got to talking to the GM of Murphy's after we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She told me about how this business has been family... owned for over 50+ years. 3rd generation owned finally decided to expand their store to the sky! They will have the first rooftop bar in the tri city area! Going back to the food they get their meat locally at Custom Pack. Makes it extra tasty for thefact it's always fresh NEVER frozen. Walked in and was greeted with waitresses pointing and avoiding eye contact. The rest of the waitresses stopped what they were... doing and started whispering to each other. The bartender switched himself out from the bar and started pouring drinks in hispersonal cup that he took outside with him. The new bartender did not check in on me after getting my food and was veryunobservant when I had attempted several times to get his attention to address the other needs of my meal. 6 of us at work just ordered meals to go from here. A hair in one burger, burger buns soggy, burgers asked to be cooked medium... were completely raw in the center, one burger charred on outside, salads slimy and disgusting. Terrible experience. Not goingback. Read more
In the downtown district of Hastings Nebraska there is Murphy’s Wagon Wheel. This a great corner setting with an old bar in... the center of it. Lots of locals have a set at the bar on a daily occasion. aI would recommend their tender and juicy porkribeye cooked over hickory wood, I rate it to be the best that I have had. My waitress at the bar was awesome. Food was not wonderful. The cook had an attitude problem. The waitress on the table behind... me was a vocal B**** . I’m not racist at all. The cook was in the kitchen with stocking cap, hoodie and a jacket. Thevocalists was in black and red PJs and sounded a little autistic.
