As a Mitten-born gal who?s been away for too many years to count, it?s been quite a while since I?ve had good Detroit style... pizza. That ended last night. It?s not a large pie but it?s a heavy pie and it?s absolutely delicious. I can?t wait to have itagain - and again. Though first, have to try the traditional hand tossed pizza. Glad to have discovered this gem in our newneighborhood. Read more

Super cute place! Not a fan of the breakfast menu though, all sandwiches are made on rosemary focaccia bread, I don't like... rosemary. I asked if another bread could be used and was told no...had a croissant but was disappointed in the freshness. Maybe I will try lunch ?? Read more

I'm giving this 3 stars because the pizza was pretty burned. I love a good charred pizza, but I was pulling pieces off of this... one. I've seen additional pictures of the pizza I ordered on their reviews page and mine was certainly a very scorched version. The mushroom pizza was good otherwise - totally willing to give this place another shot. I just wish I had checked my pizzabefore I left and said something. It's a very cute restaurant and the staff was super nice Read more

I was blown away by my egg & sausage sandwich. On a fantastic toasted focaccia. I barely had any left when I thought to take a... pic. Really great bold and balanced cup of coffee as well. This small shop, surrounded by Sullivan?s metal scrapyard, is a gem.Very comfortable with several tables and a bar and as well as picnic tables outside next to a cool pond with some sculptures.Back again for my second time and it was really hard to not buy the Detroit pizza that I had pictures of. I had a fantasticlatte this time. And the breakfast sandwich was good as the first. Read more

Wow!! This little café is great! Like all the other reviews, this place really is a hidden gem!! The coffee is delicious and... made really well and the "Bacon and Sriracha Egg Salad Toast" was SO GOOD. I will definitely be back!! Edit: Okay I had tocome back to edit my review to say that I just tried their Detroit Style Pizza and OMG IT IS THE BEST PIZZA EVER. The pizza boxon the side says "worth every penny!" - Sure is! I'm so glad I discovered this place, everything we've had so far isphenomenal. Read more

So glad to work near the Steel Penny Cafe! It?s such a wonderful coffee shop and cafe that is unique because of its location... within an industrial zone and scrap yard. The service and food is fantastic and the atmosphere is just cool and welcoming. Read more

Great indy owned coffee shop (it started) with La Colombe coffee and LeBus pastries in little old Hatboro (just a block off... Countyline & Jacksonville RDs.) Then the Detroit pizza arrived - yum all around breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can't wait to trythe hand-tossed pies. A must visit with offerings (including decor) that rival anything downtown.
