Always enjoy The Log Inn! They only accept cash or check which is quite different but manageable.... Our party enjoyed roast... beef and gravy, fried chicken and and chicken ???? literally. Slaw and red cabbage were delicious as usual and the pies andcake to go were a special treat when we got home! Staff are always friendly and attentive too! Read more

What a great place it's the oldest restaurant in Indiana. Also visited by Abraham Lincoln. Service was great and the food was... like grandma used to make. Family style is the way to go. Also the only take cash or check so plan ahead. Read more

The oldest restaurant in Indiana - it was once a stage coach stop, and Abraham Lincoln stopped here. What an interesting place,... with great history! We were camping nearby, and knew that this was our choice for dinner on Friday night. We were lucky enoughto be seated in the historic section of the restaurant, which really made our day. The service was great, and the food was alsogreat! It?s family style, but everyone chooses their protein. I had a plate of 6 chicken legs - highly recommend. Read more

It was a long day on the road, 96° and high humidity, so it was a pleasure to find this historic Inn and then discover the food... was simple comfort family style and delicious. The menu was small, but there were plenty of Midwest choices. Took dessert to go,German Chocolate cake and Caramel Apple Nut pie. Service was so fast, like less than 4 minutes from ordering, hot, delicious andour waitress was sweet and efficient, pleasant and deserved a great trip. Huge parking lot for 200+ cars was 60% full uponarrival, we got there about 7:15, and just about empty when we left. I highly recommend Log Inn for Midwest comfort food. Read more

You have to go just for the history of the place and to eat where Abraham Lincoln sat for his dinner! The food was very good... (think cafeteria style food), hot and fresh. Only complaint was the wait staff was incredibly loud talking and cleaning up othertables around us - maybe they wanted us out faster! But don't let that deter you - go and enjoy. Read more

I wonder why there are still managers running places with waiters who hate Latinos. The first time we ate at this place it was... wonderful: good food...good service. Today, we had the worst service ever...sad, because for some reason the lady who was'helping' us to order the food was in a rush trying to guess what we wanted to eat and pushing us to get dessert at her pace -it will be that there is an exact time to eat. Do not ask! Theresa, I'm pretty sure you go to places where you are thecustomer, I hope you have the blessing of being served by someone more professional than you. Read more

Great place for a home cooked meal. My son likes the chicken fried shrimp. And the roast beef is always a crowd pleaser.

Delicious down-home cooking in a historic location. Built in 1825 and visited by Abraham Lincoln in 1844! Their hygienic... practices weren't ideal - they take away your bowls and cups, refill them, and bring them back - but that was my only complaint. Our server Julie provided excellent service! Read more
