Fantastic plates and peanut butter rolls! Further away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, this place is a great stop around... North Shore to grab a meal and bring to the plethora of sights on this side of the island. Big J Special was indeed big, andvery hefty in flavour on top of weight! The cuts of galbi were the thickest I've ever had on a plate lunch, bordering onsomething you'd find in a bowl of galbitang. The shrimp was on the heavier side, but the addition of the lemon really rounds itout. The peanut butter roll is as simple as it sounds, and tastes like you'd expect and better. It's simply the best form of apeanut butter roll there can be: plush soft rolls lathered in runny, creamy peanut butter! Yes they do take card (as of May)and phone orders. I suggest calling ahead! i ordered the loco moco with sunny side up eggs and apparently a side of salmonella cause they didn?t cook my egg. when we tried... to say something they were insisting sunny side up means raw egg white and after some back and forth they finally agreed to makenew eggs for me, that weren?t sunny side up, cause they don?t understand the concept of sunny side up apparently. but theydidn?t remake my plate. they expected me to just take off the raw egg and put the new egg on, but what about the raw egg whitethat spilled all over the rest of my plate? poor customer service. maybe just like watch some youtube videos though, sunny sideup eggs aren?t rocket science. We heard great reviews about the kalbi ribs, but I was only able to get there for breakfast. They only took orders via phone, so... you call it in while standing out front, and they are cash only. There is no seating for you to enjoy your food there, so planto take it elsewhere. I got the Supreme omelette with hash browns as the side, and the portion was massive and delicious. It had5 different kinds of meat, veggies and cheese. It could easily have fed two hungry adults. It also came with toast. I wish I hadmore time to try all of the other food on the menu. Read more
We were on our way to the Polynesian Cultural Center and decided to stop here for lunch. Food was soooo good! I ordered the... garlic chicken mini plate which comes with one scoop of rice and Mac salad. A lot of food for a mini! Next time I would orderthe regular plate that comes with two scoops of rice because my chicken to rice ratio was off. ???? garlic chicken was crispy onthe outside and juicy on the inside. My fiancé ordered the BLT sandwich and he said it was really good too. They only takephone orders right now so I called ahead when we were about 35 min away, but I got a text that the food was ready in about 20min. Read more
