We visited Backfin Blues De Graw for Sunday brunch. We placed a reservation for 1pm at about noon just in case but there was not... a wait to be seated for our party of four. This is what we ordered. There was an order of the crab omelet with sweet potatotots and an english muffin. The omelet was cooked well with a decent amount of crab in almost every bite. The tots were crispyand the english muffin came toasted well and pre-buttered. This was accompanied by an apple cider mimosa which tasted more orless just like apple cider. Another order was for the creole omelet with a side of cheesy grits and corn muffins. Additionally,an appetizer with the creole crab cakes was ordered. Everything tasted great. The third order was creole french toast with aside of bacon. The fourth order was also creole french toast. This order was asked to have a side of meat splitting bacon andandouille sausage. I specifically and explicitly asked if this could be done. I wanted to split one side order, not order twosides (more on this later). Oddly, the two sides of bacon were brought out on the same dish and we were basically told we canseparate them ourselves. The french toast was extremely interesting. It came out like a donut or beignet deep fried with acrunchy and flaky outershell. The service is when things started to take a dip. We were informed that there was a large partyon the other side of restaurant so things might be a little slow. The space between in the center part of the restaurant wasbasically empty. So when our waiter all but disappeared after delivering the food to the point of us having to ask another ifhis shift ended, we were surprised at how long it took to check out and leave. Because of this long wait, I didn’t botherexplaining that we were charged double for the side meat order. They charged twice and the base price of meat sides was $4 whenthe menu said $3. Because it was ultimately under $10 in question, I just let it go since we had been sitting Read more

Everything tasted so wonderful and fresh, I also had the gumbo that made me feel like I was eating back in New Orleans. I liked... the way they had specials that could be ordered for that night like these caramelized onion mashed potatoes the waitress put meon to. Fantastic service as well. Read more
