Stopped in while visiting Havre de Grace from Delaware. The ambience is neat and the staff was very friendly. I really wanted to... give this 4 stars because the people were great but I just couldn't because the beer was subpar. Most offerings have verystrange aftertastes. I couldn't finish most of it. I wanted to like Havre de Grace's first nano brewery, but after a flight of beers whose descriptions sounded better than they... tasted, there was really nothing left to do but leave disappointed. From their Baltic Porter to Mild English and Double IPA,these beers were flavor-starved and washed out. In the rush to put as many local breweries on the map, I fear we are sacrificingquantity for quality. I wish them luck in the future, but it would take a lot for me to come back. Read more

Visited for the first time on May 14, staff is very nice and the IPA I had (Just Jim?li) was very good and I?m not a bug IPA... fan. I look forward to supporting Battery Island as they grow and become another great locally owned business in the amazing,unique city of Havre de Grace. Read more

Walking around the last first Friday of the season and we capped it off at Battery Island. The place has a cozy atmosphere... inside with quick service. They had quite a variety on tap that appeals to all preferences. To kick off the lovely fall season,I opted for the Rusalka and I am pleased that I did. A crisp stout that made my tongue buds happy.
