I love Lin's! Top-notch Japanese restaurant in an area you wouldn't expect it. Amazing interior if you're dining in, polite... staff, elevated environment. Sushi chefs here are professionals in every sense of the word. The variety of raw & cooked rolls isincredible. The drink selection (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) is also great here. The sushi was ok, the salad was gross and tasted like it wasn't washed. The biggest problem was the waitress. She was rude and... expected me to order 30 seconds after handing me the menu. The waitress was rude to others in our group and they charge anautomatic 18% gratuity on the bill. I would normally give a minimum 20% for standard service.I can see why they built in the 18%because they didn't deserve even 10%. Since I paid in cash the waitress decided to keep my change as an extra tip. Take aways 1.Do not go here they are rude. 2. Do not go here it doesn't seem too clean (the water wall display isn't maintained who knowswhat else they let slip) 3. I went here for my nieces 14th birthday and had a pleasant experience. The staff was extremely nice. The food was beyond... amazing. They give you soup and salad to start before you even order food and it was absolutely amazing!! I ordered edamame andshrimp tempura to start, it was very good! I got a cosmopolitan as a drink and this was probably the best one I've had to date!My entree was chicken and salmon with fried rice and it was heavenly!! Our cook was fun and kept acknowledging my niecesbirthday, it was so cute! Out of the party of five I was the only one who caught the vegetable and I was shocked I did haha. Thetime spent there was pleasant. At the end, the staff came out with a drum and sang happy birthday, they had this fancy spinningcandle display and there was the happy birthday song playing over the speaker. It was adorable! What a wonderful experience served with excellent food! We were able to be seated for our hibachi lunch immediately. Service was... prompt and we placed our sushi and hibachi order. The sushi was good and was our choicr of starters prior to the hibachi. Salmonroll, eel roll and a cucumber with avacado roll. Our daughter loved her salmon roll a gobbled it all up. The chef came out soonafter we finished the sushi. He catered the entertainment towards our 5yr old daughter (we were the only ones seated at the table). She loved it and her enjoyment made it even that much better. The chef was entertaining and friendly. He whipped upthree great meals! Our little one ordered shrimp with noodles, my hubby did the steak and chicken combo with rice and I did thefilet with rice. My filet was cooked perfectly, it was like cutting into butter, and was so flavorful. The portions were plentyand we did leave with leftovers. We all had such a wonderful time and combining that with the great food, we will definitely bereturning. Read more
