They catered the company I work for holiday lunch. All the food was on point the ribs pulled pork and the fatty were a hit. The... sides and desserts are off the chain. So happy we chose them to prepare this meal Read more

The food left much to be desired compared to a lot of the other bbq places in the area. It's an over flooded market. Our service... and their "it's your lucky day" thing on the extra ribs my husband received made up for it. The beans were by far the best thingwe tried. Would recommend trying at least once! Great food and service. Everyone was friendly and helpful except the cook, grumpy, who handed the food over. Loved the bbq,... brisket, white slaw, collards and cornbread. Green beans were bland and red slaw was too sweet. The kitchen is open, which isnice, parking and access are easy and the dining area is clean. Beware of their days open, as they are few. Been many timealready and going back. Read more

I live in Florida and came to visit family that lives in the area. Having BBQ while visiting NC is a must, so we came in for... lunch and it did not disappoint! We basically tried all of the meats, and they were all delicious! The fruit cobbler was prettygood too! I will come back whenever I?m visiting Read more

It's been a while since I've been here. The bbq is as good as I remember. I've been all over and eaten bbq from a lot of... places, but this is one of my favorites in all of NC. The service is friendlier than I remember, although, it was neverhorrible. I'll say this, they left an item off my order, and I didn't realize it until I got home, but between the serviceand the food, I can't even complain about that. It was compensated for. I will be back for my missing Mac and Cheese verysoon! And I'll even pay for it (again). It's that good y'all! Read more

My family enjoyed our first visit to Dickie Do's. I chose the 4 meat platter so I could sample the different offerings they had.... The only meat I did not choose was the rib tips which is their 5th meat offering. The meats I chose were: 1. Pork Ribs- overcooked, but it seemed to be a slow day. I can't expect the food to always be fresh when I walk in. 2. Pulled pork- met myexpectations for eastern NC bbq style 3. Brisket- good flavor and tender 4. BBQ Chicken- this was my favorite despite chickennot being a favorite of mine. The chicken was fresh out of the oven, had a great rub on it and the flavor was deep into thechicken breast. I highly recommend. I tried their in house sauces which were both great on the brisket and pulled pork. The dohave Sweet Baby Ray's available with their house sauces if you need more for the ribs. I chose the collards as my side whichhad an interesting flavor. Maybe basalmic vinegar? It's wasn't bad, but it wasn't good enough for me to want to make it the sameway at my house. Their corn bread was sweet like a cake. This is how I prefer it. The indoor dining area was nice. Not toosmall but it wasn't large by any means. The bathroom was super clean. There's a little sign on a shelf requesting you tell thestaff if it is dirty or out of stock and they claim they don't like messes either. *They apparently take this seriously as itwas clean and stocked. I enjoyed the sign in the bathroom: Wash your hands and say your prayers because Jesus and germs areeverywhere. Lastly, I would be remised if I didn't mention that the staff was very kind to my family. It did have a feelinglike Home compared to what you expect at a chain restaurant. Again, it was a slow time of the day. So maybe that contributed tothe time they took to greet us and patiently wait on my family. I can't say it's my absolute favorite NC BBQ, but it deserves arevisit, my recommendation, and 5 stars. Read more
