My daughter and I went to explore parts of Hawley which is the town my older daughter recently settled in and decided to stop in... for coffee. We were absolutely not disappointed. The menu was a decent size so we had good choices. We wanted a big chainStarbucks kind of coffee at a local business and we got coffee that was much better than Starbucks. We also got a cream puff anda chocolate sprinkled donut which was out of this world. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We were very comfortable andfelt welcomed here. As we were leaving it started to get busy but everyone was helped with a smile. We will absolutely come backhere. Read more

This little coffee house was awesome. The food was great, the coffee was great, and the staff was great. I went 2 mornings in a... row. They sell a bunch of odds and ends like maple syrup and chocolates. I got "The Philadelphian" which is an egg sandwichtopped with cheesesteak on a bagel (I substituted the bagel) and a fruit danish. I WILL return. Read more

The coffee, breakfast/lunch menu, and fresh baked goods were excellent. But what really set my experience apart was an employee... named Lauren. I wholeheartedly thought she was the owner - that?s how much genuine warmth, love and care she put into herinteractions with me, my family, and every other patron. Good products and services can only take a business so far. Greatemployees are always the key to true success. Read more

I used to really like this place when it first opened, but the last few times have been disappointing. $8 for a basic sandwich... on white toast- and the prices go up from there. They don't even give you a side of chips (or anything) anymore. The last twotimes I got sandwiches from there, the bread was burnt. Not slightly over toasted, but literally black. The first time I thoughtit was a fluke, but it has happened 2 other times since. I feel like this is dishonest considering I paid above average, for anaverage sandwich, and I'm served inedible food. There was a lady from the Bronx that managed Cocoon when it first opened. Whenshe was there, the quality was great. I haven't seen her in quite some time, and based on my last few experiences, it's safe tosay she is no longer there. Lastly, the wait time was something I have gotten used to- I know it's made fresh. But the last timeI was there, about a week ago, the staff was counting the drawer midday. They were unable to take my order for 10 minutes-because they had to finish counting. The same staff making your drinks and cooking the food are also counting cash midday, andserving bakery items. And on top of that, rather than being efficient and getting the order started while waiting to ring meout- they just made me wait until they were done. I didn't know it took the whole store to count a drawer, but at Cocoon, itdoes. Then I had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my order, which was a black burnt sandwich. I no longer recommend thisplace to friends or family visiting, unless they're looking to get a dessert to-go. I shouldn't have to inspect my food prior toleaving, I get that mistakes are made- but correct them. If you already have people waiting 20 minutes, the least you could dois take an extra 2 minutes to re-toast some bread. But to hide it and serve people burnt food- not once, but MULTIPLE times- issomething else. If you want to charge NYC prices, you should be providing better quality- that's Read more

Cocoon Coffee House is a great place to stop! It is located in a small building outside of the Hawley Silk Mill. I like to stop... and grab a sandwich and treat - my favorite is the Vegan Peanut Butter Blondie - it was off the menu for a while but I am soglad they brought it back! Their sandwiches are very good too! I stop and grab coffee in the morning & a scone. Also a greatspot to pick up treats to bring as a house warming gift. Read more

Came here during our weekend trip and it was well worth it!! We ordered coffee for at least 6 of us at once, and even went back... in line to pick up some really nice looking treats. The employees were so kind and patient! Gave us all a really nice memory notonly during our visit, but also after when we finally tasted the delicious baked goods! Read more

Italian style Coffee and pastries are good! They have multiple flavors syrups for those who like a different taste to coffee... just like the setup in Starbucks but better. The lunch menu has a variations to choose from and have more than one soup on hand. They have a selection of beers and snacks to choose from as well. Very good setup in Hawley. My only complaint is the design forordering and pickup . I saw more than one customer forgetting their pastries after paying because the setup is not designed wellenough for the proper exchange of goods for money. I don?t know if the pickup area should be the end clockwise instead ofcounterclockwise. Perhaps the design is not conducive for that setup. Read more
