I had an amazing surprise birthday dinner at The Copper Door, they put a card on your table notifying the chef and staff that it... is your birthday, I got politely wished happy birthday without the embarrassment of anyone singing to me in the restaurant :).Love that, the service was probably the best I have experienced in quite some time. The food, wow! Very high scale especiallyfor this area, I was just pleasantly surprised on all fronts with this restaurant. I hope to be returning for another specialoccasion some time soon! Take your mom, your wife, anyone celebrating something special. Or if you just want a lovely date nightout, you cannot go wrong. Last minute spontaneous date night that really proved to be one of the finer dining experiences of recent memory. Great work,... thank you. Scallops were tender. Smoked salmon salad and dressing was so very flavor-able. Filet sear was divine. Bananasfoster made table side, fresh, put it over the top. Way to go Read more
Such a great dining experience! This place was very unassuming on the outside but as soon as we walked in you could tell... everything was well thought out, very elegant. The service was fantastic, everyone was kind and helpful from the hostesses,servers, all the way to the chef. We had the tomahawk steak cut and served by the chef at the table. A great presentation of aneven better steak, cooked perfectly. Salads were excellent, pork belly appetizer was so tender and flavorful. The desserts weretremendous with our favorite being the bananas foster made table side with a great show from our server. Overall we’ve beenable to experience alot of nice steakhouses in and around Atlanta area. We weren’t expecting them to get outdone by anunassuming establishment in the quiet town of Hayesville. I've had the privilege of eating at many "fancy" restaurants, so when I was on vacation in the area I wasn't expecting a lot... from this purely due to location. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent at every course, with the smokedsalmon, Asian salad, and filet mignon being the stand out dishes on our table of four. Honestly though every part of the mealwas great. We have been to The Copper Door twice before this (me & my husband) so this time we came back with a group of friends to... celebrate my husband's 30th birthday and it was, once again, amazing. Half of us chose the Chef's Tasting Menu and the otherhalf dined a la carte. We got a couple bottles of wine to share with the dinner table and our waitress was absolutely phenomenaland took such great care of us. Our dining experience lasted 4 hours but felt like 10 minutes. It just flew by. The dessertdrink I had was hands down one of the best things I've ever tasted. We will continue to return to The Copper Door whenever weare able to make the trip from ATL.
