One star for terrible customer service. 30 minute wait time to pick up Door Dash order. I asked the host when I arrived at... 6:55pm about the order and told me 5-7 min wait time. Fast forward 25 minutes later when I started checking the counter and hisresponse was the same. Online orders are not prioritized, I don't know why Door Dash partners with businesses like these thatdon't consider their online customers. Read more

The best Chicken Karaage I've ever had at a Japanese restaurant. Other menu were also good. I am trying to find a local one that... does good Karaage but they don't come even close to this one I've had in SF. Read more

This place is a little tricky to get to. You have to walk to the side of the alley and go up stairs/elevator to get to the... restaurant. It's a little weird but once you get into the restaurant, definitely has a high end vibe. We were greeted by a nicelady. She seated us outside as per our request since it was a nice day. My husband and I had a good experience here. We orderedsome things that were from their specials such as, kanpachi kama (amberjack fish cheek), sea urchin nigiri. And other stuff fromthe menu such as monk fish liver, sweet shrimp nigiri (with fried heads), sweetheart roll, and lion king roll. All are smallportions but with a very nice presentation. Everything had great flavor and high quality as each dish melted in your mouth! Ireally recommend the Kama as it was perfectly crispy, meaty and not overly seasoned. It doesn't come with rice, so I orderedthat separately. It was definitely a pleasant experience and I want to have these dishes again . Read more

Used to be a buffet but now it is an, IMO, above average sushi restaurant. I don't enjoy going to sushi restaurants unless it... is good or there is something special. People often open a sushi restaurant knowing it's a trend to make money - and I hate it. My wife and I both agreed this spot is MUCH better than most sushi restaurants within a 15 mile radius. Really bad fish, looks like you get leftovers. Fish was very fishy and rubbery. Portions are very small for what you paid for.... The rolls aren't even good and the taste was off. If you eat a lot od Japanese food and like high quality fish, do not comehere!!!! This is the worst I ever tasted in the bay area. Read more

I took my son to the movies and I wanted to get something to eat afterwards. So I was browsing on the internet and saw this... place. I love sushi but it is hard to find good and fresh sushi. I am so glad I gave this place a try today. I bought 3 rolls, aDragon roll, Lion King roll, and Shrimp tempura roll. They were all good and the service was good but I did takeout so I don'tknow how it is if you eat at the restaurant. Also the presentation was so nice for a takeout box that really impressed me. Ifyou like sushi give them a try. I will be back. Also the name on the restaurant is Hinata Kitchen and it is upstairs right nextto the movie theater. Read more
