Old favorite for Mexican food. This was a regular go-to for us when we lived in Hayward in the 90's. They have survived the... recession and the pandemic. Go there and get the carnitas before they run out. Read more

Ignacio is such a gentle and kind of person. He tells nice and funny stories about Los Compadres. He suggested the Chile Verde... burrito. It was delicious. Also, the home made salsa is unique. Read more

This is the BEST burrito I have ever had in my life! Will come back here time and time again! The shredded beef + carnitas meat... is amazing! The crispiest chips ever topped with salt - best experience I?ve ever had! This place was a recommendation from mydad who had been coming here since he was a kid! Flew out from FL and now I?m going home dreaming of Los Compadres and not beingable to have it! Read more

A fantastic family run restaurant with incredible customer service and delicious food. We found this place on Google while... passing through Hayward and it turned out to be an evening we would never forget. Our host, Ignacio, told us about the historyof the restaurant and the story behind each dish. It was a nice personal touch and we all loved it. The homemade salsa has adelicious smokey flavour and the pork taco was a fan favourite. We got caught up in the moment and I had a bit of awhoopsy-daisy, leaving without my backpack containing me and my friend's passports, wallets and cameras in the restaurant. Wenoticed about 20 mins down the road and when we called we were greeted by a relieved Ignacio who, along with some of hisregulars, had contacted us via Facebook to tell us we'd left it there. When we returned he even gave us some mini burritos forthe journey! And they were bloody delicious. It was some of the best customer service I'd ever experienced and the food was tomatch. All the best to Los Compadres for the future. We won't forget you! Read more
