If you?re searching for a wedding venue in the Hayward area, look no further than The Steakhouse! I recently had my wedding... reception here and I cannot say enough GREAT things about this establishment. Peggy and her crew helped make everything runbeyond smoothly, the food was great, and the hotel rooms connected to The Steakhouse were extremely convenient for us, ourwedding party, and parents to stay at. We waited 15 mins for our sodas and we went to the bar to get them. I order a cocktail, never was asked if I wanted another one.... The wait staff was very cold and short. Asked for mashed potatoes and my steak be medium well. It came out very pink and theygave me a baked potato and told me I didn't need to eat it and they are out of mashed potatoes. Fantastic food! We stopped here on our way through town, and it did not disappoint! Great service that was fast, and the food... was so good! Specifically, the croutons on the salad had more taste than any other and I loved it! Read more
Went there last night. The place wasn?t particularly busy considering it was the night before the Lumberjack Championship... started. In fact, when we got there we sat in the bar and were the only people at a table. There were maybe 5 others sitting atthe bar besides us. The dining room was mostly empty. Looked like a larger group was just finishing up. Our experience startedoff nice. Ordered the Onion Rings and those came out fast and were pretty good. Our server was very nice. After about 15 minutesshe came out to let me know they were out of what I ordered (Prime Rib Sandwich). I switched my order and we ended up waitinganother 45 minutes for our food. Our server came by to let us know the kitchen had a huge rush and that it would be soon. A fewtables came in after us but I don?t understand how that would have affected our order unless our server forgot to ring it in. Weeventually asked if we could just cancel our order because it was getting late and we had had a long day and then the bartenderbrought out our food. The pulled pork sandwich was room temperature (although the plate was hot) and was very bland. My husbandssteak was awful. Overcooked. The carrots were cold and freezer burned. Our server didn?t ask how our food was and since it wasso late, we ate a few bites and then closed out with the bartender. We wanted a nice dinner out but unfortunately that wasn?tthe case and we felt like we wasted nearly $100 and 2 hours of our night. Read more
Servers were difficult to find and we waited quite a bit, but once they did come to the table, they were super kind! We had the... salmon and the tune up. The tuna was fine, but the salmon was much better. The side salad is pretty standard and the soup wasgreat. The bar side is much more active, louder, and fun and feels very much like an up north bar while the dining room side ismore formal and quiet. It's nice to be able to choose. Read more
Beautiful little spot.. No water but amazing view. Great staff, extensive menu, good prices and quality for steaks, the steak... pepper bites appetizer is SO good. Nice wine selection but not alot of beer. Read more
Went for Thanksgiving buffet. I really expected more than reheated store bought food. I have been before and ordered off the... menu so I felt that they would actually be homemade items. I would not recommend going for a buffet. Service was great, thoughthey struggled to keep the buffet items filled. The prime rib was top notch but that was the only item that was worth anythingfrom the selection. Read more
