Not your every day menu. Excellent interesting choices. I had cranberry roasted duck and cranberry butternut squash. Both... excellent. Winter hours are weekends 5:00 PM. Reservations necessary and difficult to accomplish. Read more

We made reservations for a Friday evening for 7pm. We were a party of six. It was very busy when we arrived, but almost empty... by the time we left, right around 830pm. Everyone liked their meals, but no one thought it was exceptional. I ordered the ribeye medium rare which was cooked perfectly, but was a little tough. Another ordered the walleye, which was good, but it was avery small portion. We also ordered desserts which were very good (cheesecake and creme brulee). It is a different restaurantthan the normal Northwoods experience with excellent service, but the food while priced as somewhat gourmet, didn't really hitthe mark. We'll maybe give it another shot in the future. Read more

Jacobi's of Hazelhurst - We've been driving by Jacobi's, off of Cedar Falls Rd & Kaubashine Rd, for years on our way to the... cabin. They've always been closed during the week when we are there in the Spring or in the Fall. We were up for my wife'sbirthday so the timing to visit seemed like the perfect opportunity to visit. This was our first visit and things seemed to notgo smoothly from the minute I stopped to make reservations and added that we would be celebrating a birthday. When we stoppedthe next night, 30 minutes before our reservation the "new" host informed me that they didn't have a reservation for us butshe'd be able to work us in for our requested time @ 6:00. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of Wisconsin classics -Brandy Old Fashioneds - and thought we'd strike up a conversation with the bartender and learn a little more about the familyowned restaurant - no such luck, even though we were the only ones sitting at the bar for the first 10 minutes, she was somewhatpre-occupied and didn't have time to talk. When a table came available, we were seated adjacent to the bathroom, so my wife hada great view of the ladies bathroom door. Ok, we thought we're off to a rough start, things can only get better from here...nosuch luck. Our server was equally pre-occupied and seemed put out that this was our first visit and that we didn't know themenu and that we had a few questions. Now for the bright spot of the visit - the food...first some appetizers which weredelicious and then our entrees - I had the pecan encrusted chicken breast which was very good. We also shared a couple ofdeserts which were delicious as well. Overall, I thought the servers and service lacked professionalism and did not match thequality of the food. We did enjoy our food, the eclectic flavors and combinations, but for the $100+ that we spend at the barand dining - I was not impressed. Unfortunately a nice evening to celebrate a birthday at a local, Northwoods re Read more

This was our first time and we will definitely be back. Barb, at the bar, was very nice. Kelly, our waitress was phenomenal!... She's cute and friendly! Food and drinks were exceptional and the final bill was less than expected. Check it out! Read more
