Unfortunately I have to give it a star because if it was up to me I wouldn?t. Trying to place an order over the phone and wait... for them to ACTUALLY answer the phone is like waiting for pigs to fly. I understand it?s a Saturday and it gets busy but Ishouldn?t have to be calling 10 times and still not be able to answer the phone. They need to get organized with the orderingover the phone. My family and I have been coming here for 10+ years but it has really gone down hill. When I called to place an order the woman... on the phone just laughed the whole time. I asked her to read back the order and corrected something but was told she just readit wrong and the order was correct. I picked up my order and somehow the bagel that she read out correctly was completely wrong,and a vegetarian ended up accidentally eating turkey when a tomato egg and cheese was ordered. Read more

Heard a lot about this place from friends. Finally decided to go try it at breakfast. The bagel was stale and the sandwich... (bacon/egg/cheese) was just pretty bland at a premium price. I never visit Jersey without stopping at Gem?s. The bagels are great ? probably the best in the area. The service is friendly... and efficient. Stop in for a greasy sandwich the morning after a night out or for a good lunch sandwich. Either way, you?llleave satisfied. Read more
