Server was nice. Food to the table was reasonable. I ordered the country fried chicken. The gravy was extremely runny and a... second serving was brought out but that was thin and watery as well. To add further insult, I was charged for the extra gravy Icould not eat. The runny gravy ruin my chicken fillets and potatoes as it made the entire meal soggy. The grand slams wereprepared well. Don?t recommend ordering anything that comes with a sauce or topping as this location seems to mess those up. Read more
I've eaten here a few times and it's always a different experience. Sometimes it's a great time but more often it's mediocre at... best. While there's some great staff there's also some that, to put it nicely, aren't. I don't think I've ever seen more thanabout 30% occupancy, and it's located in a truck stop with a hotel next door. Throw in your going to spend 20-30 bucks perperson and the value just isn't there. Read more
Whenever we go there we ensure that our favorite waitress Lesya is there. She is so enthusiastic, friendly, professional and... very respectful. She makes our stay/meal most enjoyable. Our meals have been mostly perfect: tasty, hot, and very much what thepictures display. This restaurant may not be expensive but it always deserves a good tip. Read more
Not sure how to best write this review as the experience still has us both blown away. So, it?s been a long day travelling on... the road and both my husband and I are beyond exhausted and looking for some place close by to eat, but mostly seeking out thatfamed comfort food we Canadians seem to be drawn towards. Our hotel has a Denny?s right next door, so we decide to give it atry. Not expecting too much, we enter into a virtually empty restaurant and wonder, oh oh, hope we made the right choice. Fastforward to one of those little life changing moments that you will always remember. We are warmly greeted by a lovely womannamed Lesya who turned out to be, to our good fortune, also our server. Despite the empty restaurant, we already knew we werein the right place, and we were right. Both our meals were exceptional with my husband commenting it was the best burger he hasever had. The best part of the story doesn?t stop at the wonderful meal, it?s more of one that tugs on your heart strings. Anelderly couple, both struggling with mobility issues, came into the restaurant. It was immediately clear that this lovelycouple were regulars of the restaurant and were clearly there to eat mostly because Lesya was working. In fact, they hadactually called ahead to make sure she was working. When she knew they were there, it was like watching a loving and attentivegrandchild taking care of her loved ones. She clearly had a warm connection with them which was clearly mutual. It was solovely to see. Turns out we were not the only ones touched by this lovely young woman?s compassion. Who would have thought thata review of this Denny?s restaurant would be one were you could honestly say that the great food was just the bonus, the trueexperience was the reminder that human kindness can go a long way in making someone?s day truly comforting and memorable. Ordered food at 1127 operator said 20 minutes food never ready for pickuptill 1210 waiting there all this time than the food... was cold the hasbrowns were rock crunchy strawberries were not on the crepes my wife has to go back to tell them no star berriesthey said it doesn?t come with strawberries,and I have been eating this for a while at Sargent location . Manager Darrel he saidIam not refunding anything I can?t do anything sorry the food was half n hour late .. the food was so bad that my littledaughter even didn?t have a bite of it . Poor presentation,wrong temperature,every bite I took made me mad than I had to throwthis 44$ food into the garbage. What manager had to say is that Iam not gonna refund anything mr manager i don?t care aboutrefund but look at the disgusting food u made me. Exeter not bad ! Love Dennys, went to many locations, starting from Ontario to Vancouver. Had a couple sad looking dishes but always tasty, and... service always tried to fix the issue, but not here. - Food was taking so long. Never waited that long before and place wasn'tbusy. - Attitude of our waitress and manager Jack, not the best at all. - We ordered two Cobb salads, one of my fav dishes inDennys. One dish was good with good portions of chicken and the other dish was with 2 little pieces of prime rib. We talked toJack that it's not nice to charge 6 or 7$ for small pieces, it's just wrong, the picture doesn't follow the expectation, inwhich his respond was " We can't always make the dish to look the same as on the picture". It's not about making to look thesame it's simply putting the right amount of meet you charge for. - Waitress tried to say that there was "quiet a lot ofpieces", and I told her I took a picture of the dish from the beginning she just left. Not nice not good. - Thanks to Jackbrining a small plate with extra rib. But still the experience was ruined. - Another thing, while was eating noone cleaned thetables around, and the place wasn't even busy. Sad and lazy staff. ? I live in Toronto, and drive long haul to Calgary. But every time I stop over in the Winnipeg area I make sure I get a few meal... here. It's always nice to see Jasmine greet me as she is very hospitable. Recommend this location. Read more
It's not often that you can stop in at a restaurant maybe once a year (not from the area) and be greeted like you're an old... friend. Our family absolutely loves stopping in at Denny's in this particular location because we receive top quality serviceEVERY SINGLE TIME from a beautiful, kind server named Lesya. She is warm, friendly, great at her job and honestly makes it a joyto be there. Is the food great too? Yes! But honestly there are a lot of great places for food, that's a small part of it forus. Lesya is the reason we stop there and always will as long as she's there. Congratulations on having a "one of a kind"individual working for you.
