The waitress was exceptional. We had several allergies at the table and they were dealt with with dignity and knowledge!... Everything tasted amazing and great fresh fish! Read more

This is a great gem!!! Unassuming building when you pull up and nothing super fancy on the inside either. But the food was... delicious, with generous portions at old school prices. The fish was delicious, and the burger was very good too. The fries werefries, nothing special but still good and properly fried. The service was prompt and friendly. The bill was way lower thanexpected, which makes the experience way better. I will definitely go back when I'm in the neighborhood. Hope this helps Read more

Drove 20 minutes to get there. I asked for 2 cheeseburgers. She asked if I wanted fries with them. I said fries with one of... them. She rang it through and I paid. I sat at a table and another guest was sitting at another table waiting on take out. Shecame over and asked us to move to the corner chairs so she didn?t have to sanitize the whole station. Her tone was a littlerude. We both moved. (Thinking now she has more to sanitize lol) My order came out and I drove back to jobsite. Imagine mysurprise when I opened the food up for my son and I. There was only one burger. I called to say how disappointed and frustratedthat I was. She told me she only heard me say one burger. Said she was sorry in a not so sorry tone. Never offered anythingcomplimentary for my troubles like most places would. (Not that this has happened in my daily ordering of lunches in the lastfew years.) I told her I would write a review and she said sorry I?m a mad tone and hung up on me. Lol. Great customer service.NOT. Lol Oh and the fries were not very good either. This is my first review so it wasn?t written lightly over nothing. :) Read more

Very friendly staff. Had the fried clams and was a bit disappointed with the portion. Lots of fries but not many clams. They... were delicious though. Read more

Terrible! Seafood platter, no fresh fish or shellfish as advertised. Some poor quality frozen stuff. Mixed vegetables, canned... and tasteless. Rice, looked good, bland and tasteless. Lobster, canned, dry and awful. Even the tartar sauce was horrible. The worst seafood platter in my life!! So disappointing, especially with such rave reviews! ???? Read more

We were in Mahone Bay for the day, and wanted to try somewhere new to eat. We found this place on Google Maps (imagine! Ha!),... and with over 300 reviews and above 4.5 we figured it was a safe bet - and we were right! It is a small town diner at itsfinest. If you're looking for fancy things and high prices - this isn't the right place for you. But if you like home cookedfood, friendly and attentive staff, and delicious coconut cream pie in a completely unassuming spot on the side of the highway -Blarney Stone's got you! My husband had the donair burger and didn't say a word the whole time he was eating it (that says alot). He asked for some hot sauce on the side, and said theirs was so good - he literally ate it till the last drop! He got itas a platter which included fries and coleslaw and we ended up bringing over half the fries home it was such a generous portion.I had the chicken burger with onion rings. The burger itself was very delicious! Proper chicken too which I appreciate. I didask for some wing sauce on the side - which was on our bill. I am happy to pay for extras but its always nice to know first ifthere's a cost associated with it. I can tell they keep their fryer oil clean which is so, so important. Their coconut cream pieeasily ranks in my top 5. (I have it everywhere I go so that is a significant compliment, ha!). We will definitely be back -hour drive and all. Read more

Have been waiting for three years to have the opportunity to return to The Blarney Stone and it was well-worth visiting again.... Ordered the chips and clams with tartar sauce and coleslaw and they were amazing! The clams were lightly breaded, crisp, anddelicious. The fries were nice and evenly cooked. The coleslaw was creamy, well-balanced, and could be a meal in itself. Theportions are very generous and, in some instances, are enough to feed two people. The menu is quite varied and there'sdefinitely something for everyone. The ladies who were waiting on the tables were very friendly. It is worth noting that therestaurant can be very busy as it is quite popular. Not certain if they do take reservations but maybe best to phone in andenquire for groups of more than two people. You are warned on the menu: this is NOT a fast food place. And it's all for the better. You just sip your local beer as your... clams, scallops and French fries are prepared. And then, it's a feast. Very pleasant staff and reasonable prices. The freshnessof the ingredients is everything. Read more
