Well, we were in Berkeley Springs for the day and the owner of a shop there said, ?I?m a real Italian and I only eat at King?s?... (20 miles away in Hendersonville by our AirBnB). So back we went. I saw their special as I walked in, ?Mussels, sausage andasparagus.? I ordered it at the table as a joke and explained to the kids, ?Specials of the Day are basically just cooksthrowing all the old stuff they want to get rid of into a meal. Don?t expect much?. Boy was I wrong! The salads were great aswas the house dressing, garlic knots had whole pieces of cooked garlic on top, and the special was actually special :) some ofthe best asparagus and mussels i?ve ever had, cooked to perfection with savory sausage. King's is my go-to when in Hedgesville. Everything is so good. Had the large Steak & Cheese Works with onion rings this trip.... Tender beef, fresh veggies and nicely toasted roll. Onion rings had a crisp exterior. Portions are huge. Took half the sub andrings home. Server was fantastic. Read more
