We are locals, but for some reason we hadn't visited Benny's for several years. While walking around downtown one Saturday, we... noticed they were open for lunch. We honestly had no idea they did lunch on Saturdays, so we went in and were not disappointed.The special was a beef pasty, which was "elevated" from your traditional (i.e., tough) pasty. Really good! My husband had agourmet grilled cheese sandwich and delicious tomato soup. The young server was so nice; she apologized for being busy, but weweren't bothered at all (her service was actually great) and we were happy to see that business was strong. Prices arereasonable, they source much of their product locally, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Well worth a visit for lunch ordinner. Read more
Benny’s Bistro is an amazing place to go for a great date night. We went on Friday and we were graced with the presence of an... amazing pianist. The food is awesome. They really take time creating creative dishes with an amazing flavor profile. We orderedthe mozzarella appetizer and the balsamic reduction and pesto was delicious. Main course we ordered the stroganoff and mushroomfettuccini. The stroganoff had the most tender beef. House made noodles for both dishes were to die for. The mushroom fettuccinihad a Dijon sauce which really enhanced the wild mushrooms. For dessert we topped it off with a moist and flavorful carrot cake,but the real winner was the huckleberry crème brûlée. Oh my gosh that crème brûlée was so rich and amazing. Read more

My husband and I were driving through Helena and found this restaurant. It is fantastic! Other reviewers who said this is the... best burger around are absolutely correct. I had it and loved it. My husband had the braised lamb and it was also fantastic. We started with the hummus plate and I don't know what they do to their hummus but it was some of the best I have ever had. Andthe service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is downtown, cool jazz atmosphere. Highly recommend! Read more
I can’t begin to describe how much I love Benny’s Bistro I’ve enjoyed the cuisine here for lunch and dinner multiple... times, always outstanding! From the moment you walk in to when you leave you will be completely satisfied. Food so good you willswear under your breath with every bite, the wine selection is fantastic and the wait staff is very knowledgeable in thatregards. Georgia has been my server every time I’ve gone in and most certainly why I continue to come back, Emma has created adreamy spring menu that never disappoints. By far my favorite place in Helena, the atmosphere is casual for lunch and moreintimate in the evening but any time is enjoyed by families and friends and always full of laughter and conversation.
