This was my second visit, & first time having the beef ribs. Last visit I tried the brisket?which was great: juicy & delicious!... This time I took the plunge & paid the price for beef ribs, which I was surprised that they had, since it was near closing. The beef ribs were tender, flavorful, & plentiful. I?ve tried other places? ribs, & they were good, but not nearly as much meaton the bone as B-Daddy?s (see the photo). I highly recommend spending the money to have the delicious, tender, juicy ribs here. It?s also noteworthy that the staff?both times?was friendly, engaging, & informative. Was At Six Flags And Had A Craving For Some Good Barbeque And I Must Say, They Didn't Dissapoint. Mind You, They Close At Seven,... I Made It There For 6:50pm And The Food Was Still Fresh! Those Sweet Tea Glazed Ribs Were Spot On, Best Smoked Turkey I've EverHad, The Jalapeno Cheddar Smoked Sausage Was Juicy And Flavorful, Macaroni Was Deliciously Cheesy And The Potato Salad Was Ok. (I Like Mustard And And Eggs In Mine). I'll Be Returning Once We Get Ready To Head Back To Louisiana. Read more
Several years ago I had B-Daddy's from a food truck during a Helotes Jazz Fest, and was incredibly impressed. I noticed recently... that they have a physical location, so I was excited for some local BBQ goodness. I got the brisket sandwich, my husband got thepulled pork sandwich, and we got green beans (very peppery), creamed corn (perfectly sweet), and macaroni. I love Texas bbq butusually sides at a BBQ joint aren't good. That isn't true for B-Daddy's. These were the best sides I've ever had at a BBQrestaurant. The white bread buns for our sandwiches were slightly sweet and toasted with a dollop of butter. All the employeeswere respectful and helpful. The cashier gave us a paper bag to take home leftovers. There's lids for your sides near the drinkfountain. There's both inside and outside seating. There's even a playground for kids within a fenced area. I'm super impressedwith how easy it was to order, get our food, pay, and have everything we needed within easy reach. Do yourself a favor andsupport this local BBQ joint. They deserve the love. Pre-dinner meal here in Helotes. 1st time, and line out the door, which is always a good sign the food is worth it. The Big... Daddy is worth it if you are hungry. We opted for a sliced brisket sandwich, 3 tacos, sides of potatoe salad, cream corn, mac-n-cheese, all made from scratchr. Yes please, and slap your momma! So good! I ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket, pork ribs, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. The portions were large and the food was... good. It came with bread and spicy bbq sauce that helped elevate the flavor. Good customer service and great food. Prices are abit steep (over $18 for a 2 meat plate) but the portions are large and the quality of the food is excellent. I could have gottenby with a 1 meat plate given the portions. There is BBQ restaurant experience (like Salt lick) then theres the real BBQ experience in the actual food itself... Had the... pleasure of having lunch here(beat the lunch rush) and purposely ordered a bit of things iff the menu. Pulledpork..ribs..brisket and cheese jalapeño sausage.... Sides were beans..mashed potatoes ..side of toast..greenbeans...macaroni... Every single item was very well made...price is proper..48$ for both plates and drink..(tea and water..tooearly for alcohol).. Well made bbq is time consuming and should ve priced properly. This establishment is actually served bythe owner himself which keeps quality of product and service YOP NOTCH... HIGHLY recommend to all people dining for fine food ata fair price..!!! Lunch was @bdaddysbbq in Helotes today. Dad and I shared a 3 meat plate - quarter chicken, 2 pork ribs and 3 pieces of brisket.... We had the potato salad and creamed corn as sides. My husband also had a similar 3 meat plate. The ribs were very tender and thechicken was juicy. Our brisket was more lean even though I asked for moist brisket. My husband's brisket was better. We tookhome lots of leftovers so definitely another meal. This Saturday will be their 10th anniversary celebration where they'll havea pig roast for dinner. Come out and check it out! Read more
